Former President Carter sleeping with the enemy.

Jimmy Carter was the worst American President of the twentieth century and he continues to harm the United States foreign policy. Mr. Carter allowed the start of Islamo fascism in the Middle East to flourish with his weak leadership.

Nov. 4 1979, Islamic militants stormed our embassy in Tehran, Iran and took 52 US diplomats hostage and held them for 444 days. The only thing Carter could muster was a failed rescue attempt (Operation Eagle Claw) by our beleaguered military that resulted in the deaths of 8 brave American warriors.

Only after signing the Algiers Accords and minutes after President Ronald Wilson Reagan was sworn into office, did the hostages gain their release. A true leader would have seen the storming of our embassy as an act of war and responded in kind. There are two problems with that reasoning: 1. our military was weak and neglected under Mr. Carter. 2. Mr. Carter had no backbone.

The result of the Islamic revolution of the ayatollahs in Iran, which was not met with force, spawned the terrorist organizations of Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad. These are the same terrorist groups that took American hostages and killed 241 American servicemen in the 1980’s.

April, 2008, Mr. Carter flies to Syria to meet with the terrorist leadership of Hamas, another spin off of the Islamic revolution, and to lay a wreath at the grave of master terrorist Yasser Arafat. Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria and Iran will wage war against Israel this summer and will make Iraq seem small in comparison.

I will end this with a quote from Trotsky:
"You are a pitiful isolated individual; you are bankrupt; you’re played out. Go where
You belong from now on/ into the dustbin of history".
