Anti-war clamoring enables our enemies

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.

"For the traitor appears not a traitor, he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.

"He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politics so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear."

Although this quote was from Marcus Tullius Cicero in 42 BC, it rings true today. Every day, the anti-war clamoring from the liberal elite in Washington and around the country against our President and the war on terror, only enables our enemies. God help us if the Democrats win the Oval Office in 2008.

  1. Why don't we begin the draft again with no exception or deferments. No deferments other than mentally handicapped. Married, single, college Senator's son or whatever, you serve two full years, then four reserve years. Let's see how long it takes to end the war then. I fought in the same type insurgent war in Vietnam, we didn't win there either. It took ten years to wake up and get out. I'm fought and your treason crap is a perfect example of you week, meek pro Bush malarky. You want to see this war go on, then support a draft ask your republican senators and congressman to give the three and four tour duty soldiers a break. You won't because you're a spineless conservsative whinner.

  2. Tom, Your are the epitome of the angry liberal class. I would agree with a compulsory military service for our youth. That being said, the United States has the greatest volunteer military force the world has ever seen, even with you liberals
trying your best to destroy it. These men and women knew what they were signing up for and 99% of them are proud of their service to our great country. Long live King George W.(The Great) and Prince
Cheney. Tom, go smoke some weed that you libs love so much and relax some!
