Obama's magic mystery tour

Barak Obama's recent "magic mystery tour" has been covered by the main stream media as if he were already the 44th president of the United States. The mainstream media has finally admitted their bias towards Obama with their collective orgasmic coverage of his trip abroad.

One interesting fact that has emerged from his foray is that he continues to deny the fact the the surge is working in Iraq. I am not a fan of Katie Couric, but she did press Obama on this fact and did not let him shy away from the facts on the ground in regards to the success of the surge. If Obama cannot see the American success in Iraq with his own two eyes, what makes us think that he has the judgement to conduct the war on terror.

He was asked about the success of the surge by Katie Couric and Obama responded "It doesn't meet our long term strategic goals". I guess victory is not in the liberals long term goals for the United States of America. It has been stated that "what is good for America is bad for liberals."

McCain had a good analogy about Senator Obama when he said, " I would rather lose an election than lose a war. My opponent would rather lose a war than a political campaign." I think that sums up the liberal philosophy towards American national security.

  1. The problem with focusing on the surge in this manner, is it reduces war to a question of numbers. That kind of thinking created the big mess in the first place. The current situation in Iraq has to do with much more than mere numbers. Also, Couric's assumption that a reduction in casualties equals success is highly questionable.

  2. Mark, War has everythng to do with numbers. Kill as many of the enemy as possible and take as much real estate as you can hold. With that being said, war is also "winning the hearts and minds of the populace." America is winning the hearts and minds of the Sunnis and that can be attributed to the surge. The Sunnis with their new found "voice" will participate in upcoming elections and be represented more proportional in the next government. Mark, I am going to link a great article for you to read that will show "a behind the scenes" thinking of the war in Iraq. I am sure you will just dismiss the facts behind the war but I will post it anyway.
