Things are not looking good for the Congressional Democrats and the Obama Administration when it comes to the AIG bailout and the bonuses that they approved in their legislation. Democratic Sen. Dodd inserted language known as the Dodd amendment in the $787 billion stimulus bill that allowed all bonuses awarded before February 11, 2009, to be paid to AIG executives. Dodd is now claiming that his amendment did not say that and that somebody else changed it in conference. Really....Well it seems that the more outrage these liberals display, the more guilt ridden they look.
Obama's displayed outrage to the bonuses would make one think that he knew nothing about them in advance. That is not the case. Apple Dumpling Gang member and Treasury Sec. Geitner knew at least a week in advance of the impending bonuses and they still feigned surprise. Since Obama and members of Congress (Dem. & Rep) are so outraged with the bonuses, they should do the right thing and repay AIG for all political donations that they have received. Obama received more than $100K of AIG monies during his short Senate career and Sen. Dodd is the biggest recipient with $103,000 in payoffs.
When you see these phony liberals expressing outrage, whether it is AIG bonuses or Barney Frank’s surprise with Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae’s failure, take it for what it’s worth. These people are corrupt phonies that need to be retired. The good people of Connecticut will have that opportunity with Sen. Dodd in the 2010 midterms. Recent polling shows Dodd in bad shape for his reelection bid and for the sake of Connecticut and America, let us hope he is defeated.
