Democrats and Republicans Defy Obama on Iran--New Video Exposes Iranian Deceit

The Obama White House is scrambling (again) to prevent the US Senate from introducing new legislation that could raise sanctions on Iran.  Team Obama was surprised to learn that more than a quarter of the Senate introduced new legislation that could re-impose sanctions on Iran in the event Iran reneges on agreements made last month.

The Obama administration fought a fierce battle with Senate leaders earlier this month to prevent new sanctions from being introduced.  The White House achieved some success earlier this month when they got Democratic Senator Tim Johnson, chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, to agree to not move legislation forward through his committee.

The administration was blindsided with the new push in the Senate because the move was bipartisan.  13 Democrats and 13 Republicans sponsored the new sanctions legislation.  Democratic Senators usually stand with President Obama on most issues, however, many Democrats are skeptical of Obama's deal with the Iranians.

Everyone with half a brain is leery of President Obama's naive overtures to Iran.  Israel is rightly unnerved by Obama's entreaties to the clerics in Tehran and sees Obama's secret negotiations he conducted with Iran as a slap in the face.  Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and just about every nation in the Arab world fear Obama is making a Neville Chamberlain type mistake.

The Middle East Media Research Institute just published a video exposing the deception by the Iranians.  Syrian TV interviewed Mohammad Sadeq Al-Hosseini, advisor to former Iranian President Khatami, and during the interview Al-Hosseini bragged about how the Iranians have fooled Obama.  Al-Hosseini relates how the Iranians have produced more uranium than they actually need; anticipating that negotiations with the West will require them to relinquish a part of their stockpile.

Al-Hosseini goes on to state in the interview….“when you conduct negotiations with Iran, you lose even when you think you won.”  Obama will claim victory when he gets Iran to agree to relinquish some of their stockpiles of uranium, but the Iranians will be the actual victors because they will retain enough yellow cake to produce a nuclear warhead.

One would think the President of the United States would be smart enough not to trust the Iranians.  Obama should be aware that Islam permits lying to deceive unbelievers.  There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman.  These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam and in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.

I applaud the Democratic Senators for crossing the aisle and joining the Republicans in an effort to keep pressure on the Iranians.  Obama has promised to veto any legislation that seeks to threaten future sanctions on Iran and I have no doubt that he would make good on that promise.  President Obama’s useless negotiations with the Iranians may well cause the deaths of millions, or at the very least start an arms race in that volatile region.
