The 12th Imam prophecy should be taken into account when discussing future military budgets and current diplomatic overtures towards Iran in general and Ahmadinejad in particular. Let me explain the 12th Imam prophecy that the Shia (Iran) subscribe and the dangers that come with this belief. The Shia prophesies that there is a coming 12th Imam who is the great spiritual savior with the name Abu al-Qasim Muhammad or also called Muhammad al Mahdi. Most accounts of the story say that al Mahdi (12th Imam) went into hiding as a child around the age of five years old in the 13th Century. Ahmadinejad believes that Mahdi is hiding in a well somewhere and will supernaturally return just before the Day of Judgment.
According to Shia Islam, the criteria for the Hidden Imam are as follows: He will be a descendant of Muhammad and the son of Fatima-Will have a broad forehead and pointed nose-Will return just before the end of the world-His appearance will be preceded by a number of prophetic events during 3 years of horrendous world chaos, tyranny and oppression-Will escape from Medina to Mecca, thousands will pledge allegiance to him-Will rule over the Arabs and the world for 7 years-Will eradicate all tyranny and oppression bringing harmony and total peace-Will lead a prayer in Mecca which Jesus will be at his side.
You may be asking yourself why this prophecy is important to the United States and our national security. The importance arises from the fact that the Obama Administration blindly believes that it can negotiate with an apocalyptic leader. President Ahmadinejad and his cabinet say they have a ‘signed contract’ with al Mahdi in which they pledge themselves to his work. What does this work involve? According to their own prophecy, there must be world chaos for the Imam to return. The strides that Iran is making in regards to their nuclear ambitions will soon come to fruition and will then be able to “wipe Israel off the face of the map.” That would be the start of the chaos needed to bring about the stupid kid hiding in the well.
An apocalyptic regime will not negotiate away the very instrument (nuclear weapon) they need to bring about their prophecy. The liberals would have us think that Iran and Muslims dislike Americans because of George W. Bush and his mean policies. Radical Muslims “hate” us because we are not Muslim and it is that simple. Iran will to continue to use their terrorist proxies to attack Americans and Israelis and will most likely provide some sort of WMD to accomplish their work. Mr. Obama should not allow the Iranians to continue to stall a military response on their nuclear complex and that is exactly what Obama is doing with negotiations. Obama and Congressional Democrats are proposing the gutting of the very systems (SDI, F-22) that we will need to protect us now and in the future. The world is entering the most dangerous time in our history with a gullible neophyte at the helm.

Our Imam like Jesus will arrive and they together will be succour to humanity.There is no ratiosinate in destroying any nation.Our 1st Imam was very kind to the christians and during his short rule as a caliph , he never tyrannysed even an ant.He ate barley bread ,drank skimmed milk and sat on earth.He told the concepts of physics, gave the law which Newton re-established as his 3rd Law of motion;he knew all the languages, revealed the concept of creation, spent all his incomes in philantrophy and helping, healed the disease striken people, helped orphans , never fought first in a combat, always fought in defence or when his enemies became persuasive to fight with him. He knew all about the facts of universe, had perfection over oration and everything.Every Imam sent by God is blessed with these and more attributes.They are the insignia of peace and tranquility.Toay the world is heading towards inordinate desires . Hypocrites are ruling , human race is indulging into vices and schisms. Please , ponder over your views over our innocent Imams.They are not appointed by people but are decreed by God.In one of his sermon our first Imam, before 1400 years asked people to choose to live like Jesus .How can you form such an opinion ? Have true knowledge and then say.

My desire in this post was not intended to bash your Imam’s as such but to illustrate the futility of trying to have an honest negotiation with an apocalyptic leader. Judging by your comments, I am assuming you are a Shia from the “Twelvers” sect rather than the Ismailis or Zaidis sects. I think that fact is important in this conversation because if I am not mistaken, President Ahmadinejad is from that same sect. I would agree with your statement that Ahmadinejad does not have a contract with the Muhammad al Mahdi, but the fear is that he thinks that he does. You and Ahmadinejad seem to have the same belief in the prophecy of the 12th Imam but seem to differ in how it comes about. Ahmadinjad believes that he can bring about this prophecy by creating hell on Earth. How does he create this hell on Earth? We must take him at his own words and his desire to wipe Israel off the face of the map. He believes that the Untied States is the Great Satan and Israel as the Little Satan. So the next question is how Ahmadinjad would create this hell on Earth and the answer would be nuclear weapons and missiles that can reach Israel and the US. Ahmadinjad will not negotiate away his tool to bring about the prophecy as he sees it. President Obama is on a dangerous and foolish course in trying to negotiate with this man and he fails to take Ahmadinjad at his on words. The world made this mistake with Hitler and suffered the consequences with over sixty million deaths. Your statement, “Today the world is heading towards inordinate desires. Hypocrites are ruling, human race is indulging into vices and schisms”, is true and has been true for 2000 years but allowing Iran to gain nuclear weapons will only make it worse. ReplyDeleteI'm a christian and do believe in the twelfth Imam. All throughout the bible God speaks of a shepard who will bring peace to the world.(Mic 5:4)(Dan 8:21)(Rev 6:2)(Rev 12:5)All through the prophetic books GOD says he will send someone to teach his people at the end of the world.
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is religion divides GOD's people, the jews think its there messiah, muslims think its there messiah, and christians refuse to believe that GOD would have mercy on a world he's going to destroy by sending another shepard when in (Zach 4:14)&(Zach 7-17) GOD clearly states there will be two shepards.
I believe when the last annoited one/messiah/imam comes he is going to reconcile GOD's children and bring about peace and brotherhood amongst GOD's children.

ReplyDeletei can see that your views on ahmedinajad are very biased..why do you believe that the Iranians are planning to put hell on earth before the 12th Imam. In fact while the shias do believe that while there will be hell on earth before the 12th Imam's arrival, they themselves have to make sure to be one of the few people that still follow peace and tranquility so that they are not ashamed by 12th Imam's arrival. Its silly to think that in order for the 12th Imam to arrive ahmadinajad would put chaos on earth, in fact he has to do the opposite...you tell me, If you were waiting for Jesus' arrival, would you put hell on earth or try to make peace on earth to be one of his companions
ReplyDeleteNo I wouldn't raise hell while waiting for Jesus, but then again I'm not a freaking whack-job terrorist either. You cannot assign normalcy to someone such as Ahmedinajad, his actions speak for themselves and if you cannot see that then you are looking.
