President John McCain’s 1st term in office will be one to remember. There are those pundits who espouse that McCain will get his way on the foreign policy front because of the lack of 60 plus Democratic members of the U.S. Senate. There are those that say that McCain’s domestic agenda will be dead on arrival once it reaches the congress.
I do think that President McCain will get a lot more domestic issues passed than you might think. Remember that McCain is only a recent convert to making Bush tax-cuts permanent. Candidate McCain’s position on Global warming, no drilling in ANWR and McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy truly shows that he does have a lot in common with liberals in general and Democrat's in particular on domestic policy.
This is quite a change from President Bush and will earn McCain some “goodwill” chits to cash in on K Street. McCain will excel in foreign policy in regards to the war on terror and the Iraq Theater. He will be a strong Commander in Chief when it comes to killing terrorists and destroying their network, and I do think that is where the liberal opposition will come in to play.
President Bush and the liberals clash on everything because of the war on terror. Liberals are weak in that regard and they do not want to see Bush succeed at being victorious on that front. What is good for America is bad for Democrats.
McCain will enjoy a brief honeymoon with the Democratic controlled congress much more than any other Republican would or could. As much as I hate to say it, McCain is the only Republican that can be elected President of the United States. A true conservative cannot be elected with this type of political atmosphere at present. John McCain is faced with a difficult choice in regards to his vice-presidential pick.
The self-proclaimed maverick must pick a true conservative as his second in command or face a backlash come this November. My prediction is that John McCain will probably put another thumb in the eye of the conservatives with a bipartisan appointment, or appointments to the Supreme Court. Gang of 14 come to mind!
I know that he has promised judges in the mold of Roberts and Alito, but I think that for political expediency and to assuage liberals, he will bend to their (liberal) desires to gain some chits to redeem in the foreign policy realm. I do think that a President McCain will succeed in his quid quo pro with the liberal Democrats, but I also think that it will be the death-nail with what conservative base that he may have.
Bottom line is this-John McCain will be a great Commander in Chief, but will lose what conservatives that he has and be a one term President. That is why it is most important whom he picks as his VP. Just my thoughts!

President McCain's first term.

Thank you for your service to our country.
This Memorial Day, I would like to relate a letter from President Abraham Lincoln to a Mrs. Bigsby on Nov. 21, 1864, who lost her sons in the American Civil war. This is a sentiment that I would like to express to all the mothers and fathers that have lost their sons and daughters in the War on Terror and past wars. To all of America's warriors: Thank you for your service to our country.
"Dear Madam,
"I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.
"I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.
"I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
"Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
"A. Lincoln"

NARCO-TERRORIST'S ON OUR BORDER
On May 24, 1993, narco-terrorists raised the stakes in their war to advance their dominance. Drug traffickers assassinated Cardinal Posadas with automatic weapons at the Guadalajara airport to send a message to the reform minded politicians. In a country where 95% of the population is Roman Catholic (87million) that was a bold move for an organization that relies on the general population for labor and cover.
Fast forward to 2008-President Felipe Calderon deployed some 25,000 soldiers and federal police to drug hot spots across Mexico on taking office in late 2006. At present, there are over 2000 Mexican soldiers and 400 Police patrolling the streets of Juarez, a city with a population of just 1.3 million people.
For those of you who do not know where Ciudad Juarez is located--It is just yards from El Paso Texas. There have been hundreds of narco-terrorist killings in Juarez since the beginning of the year and the homicide rate has more than doubled. Mexican federal police have reported discovering mass graves containing numerous unidentified human bodies including two severed heads, three torsos and limbs. There have been many dozens of beheadings in Mexico over the years, along with assassinations of top government, police and drug enforcement agencies.
Does this sound familiar. Does Iraq come to mind. Why do the mainstream media ignore the war that is raging just yards from our border? Illegal aliens are a problem for this country, but the narco-terrorists should not be ignored. These southern terrorists will have no issues collaborating with our Jihad friends. Americans seem to be no more safer in Mexico than they are in Iraq. I will be including a link about the killings and kidnappings of Americans in Mexico.

Mexican Military Takes Over Town's Police Force
Tuesday, May 20, 2008 11:30 PM
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico -- There are no police anymore in Villa Ahumada. Even the mayor has fled. Drug gangs have virtually seized this town of 1,500 not far from Texas, as Mexico's cartels grow increasingly audacious. The Mexican military took over the police department this week because all 20 officers on the force have either been killed, run out of town or quit, officials said Tuesday.
Mayor Fidel Urrutia took refuge in the state capital of Chihuahua City _ 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) away _ where he's waiting for the soldiers to recover his town.
"Security will be in the hands of the army and the state (police) ministries, and it will remain like that indefinitely," Chihuahua state police spokesman Marco Antonio Moreno said.
Late Saturday, some 70 assailants barged into town and killed the police chief, two officers and three residents. At least eight people were kidnapped.
Shootouts occur almost daily, especially along the U.S. border and in other states where the cartels have a strong presence. On Tuesday in Durango state, two rival groups opened fire at each other with pistols and assault rifles on a highway, killing eight people, state prosecutor's spokesman Ruben Lopez said. A separate battle nearby left two dead, Lopez said, one from gunfire and another who was run over as cars fled the scene.

The "Ten Cannots".
- You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
- You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
- You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
- You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
- You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
- You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
- You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
- You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
- You cannot build character and courage by destroying men's initiative and independence.
- And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.

Climate change 101
What follows is a blurb from Wikipedia in regards to a weather pattern known as the "little Ice Age" that lasted for about 400 years. Before being spoon-fed this man-made global warming garbage by the liberal media, read and watch what follows. Open your mind and not your wallet. This man-made global warming religion that is being offered by the worlds socialist's is designed to separate capitalist's countries from their money. It is a redistribution of wealth on a grand scale. Their aim is to take money from the wealthy countries and give it to the poor countries. I will post all 5 videos that will debunk Al Gore and his tripe. Enjoy!
Northern hemisphere
The Little Ice Age brought bitterly cold winters to many parts of the world, but is most thoroughly documented in Europe and North America. In the mid-17th century, glaciers in the Swiss Alps advanced, gradually engulfing farms and crushing entire villages. The River Thames and the canals and rivers of the Netherlands often froze over during the winter, and people skated and even held frost fairs on the ice. The first Thames frost fair was in 1607; the last in 1814, although changes to the bridges and the addition of an embankment affected the river flow and depth, hence the possibility of freezes. The freeze of the Golden Horn and the southern section of the Bosphorus took place in 1622. In 1658 a Swedish army marched across the Great Belt to Denmark and invaded Copenhagen. The winter of 1794/1795 was particularly harsh when the French invasion army under Pichegru could march on the frozen rivers of the Netherlands, whilst the Dutch fleet was fixed in the ice in Den Helder harbour. In the winter of 1780, New York Harbor froze, allowing people to walk from Manhattan to Staten Island. Sea ice surrounding Iceland extended for miles in every direction, closing that island's harbors to shipping.
The severe winters affected human life in ways large and small. The population of Iceland fell by half, but this was perhaps also due to fluorosis caused by the eruption of the volcano Laki in 1783.[4] The Viking colonies in Greenland died out (in the 15th century) because they could no longer grow enough food there. In North America, American Indians formed leagues in response to food shortages.[5]
One researcher noted that, in many years, "snowfall was much heavier than recorded before or since, and the snow lay on the ground for many months longer than it does today."[6] Many springs and summers were outstandingly cold and wet, although there was great variability between years and groups of years. Crop practices throughout Europe had to be altered to adapt to the shortened, less reliable growing season, and there were many years of death and famine (such as the Great Famine of 1315-1317, although this may have been before the LIA proper). Viticulture entirely disappeared from some northern regions. Violent storms caused massive flooding and loss of life. Some of these resulted in permanent losses of large tracts of land from the Danish, German, and Dutch coasts.[6]
The extent of mountain glaciers had been mapped by the late 19th century. In both the north and the south temperate zones of our planet, snowlines (the boundaries separating zones of net accumulation from those of net ablation) were about 100 m lower than they were in 1975.[7] In Glacier National Park, the last episode of glacier advance came in the late 18th and early 19th century.[8] In Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, large temperature excursions during the Little Ice Age (~1400–1900 AD) and the Medieval Warm Period (~800–1300 AD) possibly related to changes in the strength of North Atlantic thermohaline circulation.[9]
In Ethiopia and Mauritania[citation needed], permanent snow was reported on mountain peaks at levels where it does not occur today. Timbuktu, an important city on the trans-Saharan caravan route, was flooded at least 13 times by the Niger River; there are no records of similar flooding before or since. In China, warm weather crops, such as oranges, were abandoned in Jiangxi Province, where they had been grown for centuries. In North America, the early European settlers also reported exceptionally severe winters. For example, in 1607-1608 ice persisted on Lake Superior until June.[6]
Antonio Stradivari, the famous violin maker, produced his instruments during the LIA. It has been proposed that the colder climate caused the wood used in his violins to be denser than in warmer periods, contributing to the tone of Stradivari's instruments.[10]
The Little Ice Age by anthropology professor Brian Fagan of the University of California at Santa Barbara, tells of the plight of European peasants during the 1300 to 1850 chill: famines, hypothermia, bread riots, and the rise of despotic leaders brutalizing an increasingly dispirited peasantry. In the late 17th century, writes Fagan, agriculture had dropped off so dramatically that "Alpine villagers lived on bread made from ground nutshells mixed with barley and oat flour." Finland lost perhaps a third of its population to starvation and disease.[11]

Words of a madman
Ahmadinejad: We Will 'Destroy' Israel
"They should know that regional nations hate this fake and criminal regime and if the smallest and briefest chance is given to regional nations they will destroy (it)," said Ahmadinejad, who often rails against Israel and the United States.
"The Zionist regime is dying," Ahmadinejad said in a speech in the northern city of Gorgan, referring to Israel. "The criminals imagine that by holding celebrations ... they can save the Zionist regime from death."As distasteful as this may sound to some, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad needs a bullet in the head. I think that what we need to do is reach back and employ some old-fashioned cold war tactics.
In the good ole days, when a third rate dictator posed a danger to our national security, we would make use of some tactics to sanitize the situation. The poison prick from the umbrella, a fatal heart attack or some other “accident” that would befall the master of disaster.
We could avoid another pre-emptive attack and have some plausible deniability with the mysterious demise of Mahmoud. As I have stated before, it will probably take a military strike to end the 12th Imam’s aim of a nuclear holocaust. I would just like the CIA to think outside the box and employ some old solutions to a current problem. Sphere: Related Content

Man made global warming debunked.
There is new evidence that under-ice volcanic eruptions are the cause of the Antarctica's most rapidly changing ice sheet. You will not hear and or read of this in the mainstream press. Why? I think that you know the answer to this question.
You will hear and see video about the ice sheets that are melting because of George W. Bush and America's greed. FACT: "The sub glacial index' of around 3-4. Heat from the volcano creates melt-water that lubricates the base of the ice-sheet and increases the flow towards the sea. You will see the dramatic video of the ice-sheets just falling off into the sea because of human caused global-warming.
They will never discuss mother natures effects on global change and how she takes care of her own. In the future, I will write about the effects of Earth's volcano's and the CO2 that they release into the Earth's atmosphere. Is global cooling on the way? Stay tuned.

The nuclear moment of truth is fast approaching
The moment of truth is fast approaching the world in general and Israel in particular. As I stated in my blog last week (Six month forecast for the Middle East) The Iranians are much closer to obtaining this capability than once thought. New Israeli intelligence (May 6, 2008) predicts that the Iranian nuclear capability is much closer than some thought by almost a full year - from 2009 to the end of 2008.
According to the new timeline, Iran could have a nuclear weapon by the end of this year. This timeline dictates that the world community should take action now! I thank God that President George W. Bush defied the liberals in Congress and pushed for funding of the missile-defense shield. The same shield that President Bill Clinton derided as a failure and stated “As president, I would oppose the kinds of missile defense systems that would unnecessarily upset strategic stability and threaten to open the gates”.
The new Iranian ICBM Shahab 4 will be able to reach Western Europe and possibly the American East coast at the whim of a mad man. President Bush went ahead with the missile-defense negotiations with Poland and the Czech Republic, in defiance of Russian President Vladimir Putin, to protect the Americans and Europeans from a rouge strike. The interceptors that will be stationed in Europe will not be able to protect the Israelis from being targeted by their tormentors in Iran and may not be ready to protect the West if this new timeline holds true.
The world cannot wait for the United Nations Security Council to impose more puny sanctions on Iran. They do not work and the Iranians do not care. A thermonuclear strike on New York City will kill a lot more than the 3000 that perished on 9/11. The Iranian alarm clock has been going off for some time now; we need to quit hitting the snooze button.

Dead politician walking
Only 84 days till the Democratic National Convention in Chicago-- I mean Denver. In that time, Hillary has to convince the Democratic Politburo that she is the one to take on McCain in the fall election. This is no small feat for her. Never rule out a Clinton however, they do not quit easily.
After her resounding defeat in North Carolina and almost defeat in Indiana (operation chaos), Hillary clings to political life by the hair on her chest. If the Democratic Super-Delegates thump Obama and give the nomination to Hillary, there will be blood in the streets of Denver.
The 1968 Chicago convention riots will look like a cake walk compared to a Hillary coronation in Denver. The Rev. Al Sharpton has all but promised there will be trouble if Hillary steals this thing. I see this as a win/win for the Republican Party. Hillary steals the nomination and the
Democrats loose their black base. Obama takes the crown and it is McGovern all over again. In the words of President Bush: “Bring them on”.
