UNION THUGS BEAT BLACK AMERICAN PROTESTER AT TOWN HALL MEETING

The Democrats have called out union thugs to the town hall meetings to counter protesting taxpayers. The nations largest union (AFL-CIO) President Sweeney sent out a memo Thursday that stated, "The principal battleground in the campaign will be town hall meetings and other gatherings with members of Congress in their home districts." Union thug President Sweeney continued, "We want your help to organize major union participation to counter the right-wing "Tea-Party Patriots" who will try to disrupt those meetings, as they've been trying to do to meetings for the last month." After the call to arms, three members from the Service Employees International Union savagely beat a black man at Rep. Carnahan's town hall meeting for handing out "Don't Tread On Me" flags. After some racial slurs, the three union thugs beat this man for expressing the ideals of our forefathers. Chicago politics is on full display! If anyone thinks the Obama Brown-Shirts are just going to stand around and let their man lose on Health Care reform, well I think this video shows otherwise.

Senator Cornyn's letter to Obama

Dear President Obama,

I write to express my concern about a new White House program to monitor American citizens’ speech opposing your health care policies, and to seek your assurances that this program is being carried out in a manner consistent with the First Amendment and America’s tradition of free speech and public discourse.

Yesterday, in an official White House release entitled “Facts are Stubborn Things,” the White House Director of New Media, Macon Phillips, asserted that there was “a lot of disinformation out there,” and encouraged citizens to report “fishy” speech opposing your health care policies to the White House. Phillips specifically targeted private, unpublished, even casual speech, writing that “rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.” Phillips wrote “If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”

I am not aware of any precedent for a President asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed “fishy” or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests.

By requesting that citizens send “fishy” emails to the White House, it is inevitable that the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and private speech of U.S. citizens will be reported to the White House. You should not be surprised that these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection program. As Congress debates health care reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights.

I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward emails critical of his policies to the White House. I suspect that you would have been leading the charge in condemning such a program—and I would have been at your side denouncing such heavy-handed government action.

So I urge you to cease this program immediately. At the very least, I request that you detail to Congress and the public the protocols that your White House is following to purge the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in “fishy” speech. And I respectfully request an answer to the following:

· How do you intend to use the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in “fishy” speech?

· How do you intend to notify citizens who have been reported for “fishy” speech?

· What action do you intend to take against citizens who have been reported for engaging in “fishy” speech?

· Do your own past statements qualify as “disinformation”? For example, is it “disinformation” to note that in 2003 you said: “I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal health care plan”?

Iran is one year away from nukes-Awaiting Ayatollah's OK

It is being reported that Western intelligence services have concluded that Iran is now able to produce a nuclear weapon within one year. The controversial and much debated US National Intelligence Estimate two years ago concluded that Iran had ended its nuclear arms research program because of our invasion of Iraq. The Times is reporting that Tehran had halted the research only because it had achieved its aim of mastering the technology of detonating a warhead which could be launched on its long-range Shehab-3 missiles. The intelligence sources state that should Ayatollah Khamenei approve the building of a nuclear device, it would take six months to enrich enough uranium at the Natanz plant and another six months to assemble the warhead.

The Natanz plant consists of at least three large underground structures that house the main uranium enrichment facilities and will be high on the list of targets in the event of any preemptive strike. The Pentagon is seeking to speed deployment of an ultra-large bunker-buster bomb by July 2010, which may come too late if Iran decides to pull the trigger. It has been reported that the new non-nuclear 30K pound Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP)
could be put on contract within 72 hours with Boeing if Congress and President Obama decided to do so. The importance of this new weapon is really moot since Obama is still holding on to his candy-ass foreign policy in regards to halting Iran's nuclear weapons push.

President Obama has given Iran until next month to begin talks on resolving the nuclear issues, although hopes of any constructive engagement have dimmed since the regime’s crackdown on pro-reformist protesters. I do believe the Israelis are in the final stages of planning a preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, but are being hampered by the Obama Administrations hostile attitude towards Israels national security. Israel has also been hampered by the rejection of their request for bunker busting bombs and F-22 Stealth aircraft late last year by the Bush Administration.

With the new intelligence that is being reported, it is high time that Obama puts away the carrots and pulls out the big bunker-busting stick. If Obama and the Europeans are afraid to stop this new Persian Hitler, then they need to step back and support and equip Israel to handle the job at hand. The Israelis know that you can't negotiate with terrorists and to continue to do so is just folly.

50 reasons why not to support the Cap and Trade Bill

This National Review article about the Cap and Tax Bill is a must read for anyone that gives a crap about this country. The Waxman-Markey Bill has already passed in the House and now is being considered in the Senate and it must be stopped now. Authors Stephen Spruiell and Kevin Williamson point out 50 reasons why this is a dangerous law that will raise taxes on average Americans exponentially. This is a bit of a lengthy read for some but I would advise that you read it many times so as to truly understand what is being proposed.

The stimulus bill was the legislative equivalent of the famous cantina scene from Star Wars, an eye-popping collection of the freakish and exotic, gathered for dubious purposes. The Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade bill, known as ACES (the American Clean Energy and Security Act), is more like the third panel in Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights — a hellscape that disturbs the sleep of anybody who contemplates it carefully.

Two main things to understand about Waxman-Markey: First, it will not reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, at least not at any point in the near future. The inclusion of carbon offsets, which can be manufactured out of thin air and political imagination, will eliminate most of the demands that the legislation puts on industry, though in doing so it will manage to drive up the prices consumers pay for every product that requires energy for its manufacture — which is to say, for everything. Second, it represents a worse abuse of the public trust and purse than the stimulus and the bailouts put together. Waxman-Markey creates a permanent new regime in which environmental romanticism and corporate welfare are mixed together to form political poison. From comic bureaucratic power grabs (check out the section of the bill on candelabras) to the creation of new welfare programs for Democratic constituencies to, above all, massive giveaways for every financial, industrial, and political lobby imaginable, this bill would permanently deform American politics and economic life.

The House of Representatives, famously, did not read this bill before passing it, which is testament to either Nancy Pelosi’s managerial incompetency or her political wile, or possibly both. If you take the time to read the legislation, you’ll discover four major themes: special-interest giveaways, regulatory mandates unrelated to climate change, fanciful technological programs worthy of The Jetsons, and assorted left-wing wish fulfillment. We cannot cover every swirl and brushstroke of this masterpiece of misgovernance, but here’s a breakdown of its 50 most outrageous features.

SPECIAL-INTEREST SOPS
1. The big doozy: Eighty-five percent of the carbon permits will not be sold at auction — they will be given away to utility companies, petroleum interests, refineries, and a coterie of politically connected businesses. If you’re wondering why Big Business supports cap-and-trade, that’s why. Free money for business, but higher energy prices for you.

2. The sale of carbon permits will enrich the Wall Street investment bankers whose money put Obama in the White House. Top of the list: Goldman Sachs, which is invested in carbon-offset development and carbon permissions. CNN reports:

Less than two weeks after the investment bank announced it would be laying off 10 percent of its staff, ***Goldman Sachs confirmed that it has taken a minority stake in Utah-based carbon offset project developer Blue Source LLC. . . . “Interest in the pre-compliance carbon market in the U.S. is growing rapidly,” said Leslie Biddle, Head of Commodity Sales at Goldman, “and we are excited to be able to offer our clients immediate access to a diverse selection of emission reductions to manage their carbon risk.”

3. With its rich menu of corporate subsidies and special set-asides for politically connected industries, Waxman-Markey has inspired a new corporate interest group, USCAP, the United States Climate Action Partnership — the group largely responsible for the fact that carbon permits are being given away like candy at Christmas rather than auctioned. And who is lined up to receive a piece of the massive wealth transfer that Waxman-Markey will mandate? Canada Free Press lists:

Alcoa, American International Group (AIG) which withdrew after accepting government bailout money, Boston Scientific Corporation, BP America Inc., Caterpillar Inc., Chrysler LLC (which continues to lobby with taxpayer dollars), ConocoPhillips, Deere & Company, The Dow Chemical Company, Duke Energy, DuPont, Environmental Defense, Exelon Corporation, Ford Motor Company, FPL Group, Inc., General Electric, General Motors Corp. (now owned by the Obama administration), Johnson & Johnson, Marsh, Inc., National Wildlife Federation, Natural Resources Defense Council, The Nature Conservancy, NRG Energy, Inc., Pepsico, Pew Center on Global Climate Change, PG&E Corporation, PNM Resources, Rio Tinto, Shell, Siemens Corporation, World Resources Institute, Xerox Corporation.

One major group of recipients of the free money being given to industry in the form of carbon permits are the electric utilities, represented in Washington by the Edison Electric Institute. Along with the coal and steel businesses, the utilities are positioned to receive a huge portion of the carbon permits — some of which will be disguised as measures for consumers — and have become one of the nation’s highest-spending lobbies, working to ensure that their interests are served by cap-and-trade.

Obama's poll numbers continue to slide

Americans are continuing to awake from their Obama Kool Aid induced coma and the polls are reflecting this fact. In the Democrats and Obama's zeal to impose their socialized health care upon America, they are now looking to impose new taxes on everything under the sun. Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress already have increased tobacco taxes, which hit the poor disproportionately, to pay for extending health coverage to 4 million children in working low-income families. It now appears that they want impose $104 billion in new taxes on sugary drinks and alcohol. So much for no new taxes on the middle-class.

According to the AP, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said negotiators are looking for revenue alternatives. Asked during an interview with The Associated Press whether they include tax increases on families with incomes less than $250,000 a year, Schumer said, "There are lots of things on the table now." What exactly does "there are lot of things on the table now" mean. It means that they lied about taxes on the middle-class and everything is now taxable. If the Cap and Tax bill passes in the Senate and is reconciled with the House , taxes will increase for everyone that uses energy. Unless you live like a caveman in a mud hut, your taxes will increase exponentially.

With President Obama's constant apologizing for American injustices to the world in general and the Muslim community in particular, I think our attention is being diverted from the dangers we still face. The election of Barack Hussein Obama did not pacify the evil and hate that our enemies harbor and their desire to kill anyone that doesn't worship at the alter of their so-called God.
