President Obama: Commander in Chief of Pork

How things have changed since candidate Obama became President Obama. In his first month in office, President Obama has presided over the largest government expansion the world has ever seen. Let’s not forget that as Senator, Obama requested over $740 million worth of pork barrel earmarks during his short tenure as junior senator of Illinois. Sen. Obama was the most liberal senator in 2007, according to National Journal's 27th annual vote ratings, so none of this government expansion should come to any ones surprise.

Earmarking large sums of money to top supporters and fundraisers is a popular practice in both houses of Congress and to some degree both parties. Sadly, Obama followed a pattern of conspicuous allocations of federal funds during his time as senator. Mr. Clean handed a million dollar earmark to his wife’s employers in 2006 after which her salary increased from $121,910 a year to $316,962. Maybe that was just happenstance but I will let you be the judge.

In 2006, Senator Obama requested an earmark of $300,000 to replace the projector at the Adler Planetarium. In 2008, he requested $3,000,000 for the replacement of the projector system and some other equipment in the Sky Theater. On the surface, this may seem like typical pork requests for a member of congress, but let’s dig down a little further. The Chairman and two of the Vice Chairmen of Adler Planetarium Board raised $250,000 for Sen. Obama’s 2008 Presidential campaign. The Adler Planetarium was probably surprised when they found that their earmark increased by $2.7 million dollars.

The point that I am trying to make is that President Obama is just like Senator Obama but now he is on steroids. Obama just signed the $787 billion dollar pork riddled “stimulus” bill and congress just passed another $410 billion dollar bill that is infested with eight thousand, five hundred earmarks. It is now being reported that Obama is now asking for $634 billion as a down payment of what will be one trillion dollars to transform our health care system into a socialized system.

President Obama is a great orator, but I think he will be better remembered as a European-style socialist when it is all said and done. Is this what America voted for? The diehard liberal-socialist’s are happy campers at present, but I do think that the moderates that voted for Obama will wise up before 2012. I really think that with the socialist troika that is now in charge, it will be really tough to repair the damage in the event a conservative wins in 2012. Mr. President, you promised to cut the deficit in half in four years and all I can say is, good luck!

The financial market crumbles under Obama economic policy

I think it is safe to say that the financial market has rejected and lost confidence in President Obama's economic policy. The Dow dropped another 250 points today and over 2000 points since being elected. It seems to get worse every time the White House or Congress implements
some sort of socialistic plan. You rarely hear the main stream media associate the fall in the market with Obama and his economic policy as you would have during the Bush years. The latest Rasmussen daily presidential tracking poll indicates that the American populace maybe getting sour on Obama as they see their 401K value drop to nothing. I think the market and his approval numbers will plummet further when the other bailouts are announced. Stay tuned!

Drill here, drill now, pay less and stimulate the economy.

According to a new study by The American Energy Alliance, expanding energy exploration and production to U.S. offshore areas could result in more than a trillion dollar government windfall and millions of new jobs. The offshore areas in the study are the newly opened areas the Bush administration allowed to be explored when the moratorium was allowed to expire last year.

Based on their conclusions on data gathered from the Interior Department, Commerce Department and Treasury Department, oil and natural gas development would generate $1.7 trillion in federal tax revenue and almost $600 million in state and local taxes throughout the life span of the new fields. The increased offshore energy production would also support 1.2 million jobs annually which would go a long way in helping decrease the unemployment rate.

Liberal Democrats and their environmental-thug surrogates have called for placing additional limitations on offshore drilling or reinstating the ban completely which would do nothing to help the US decrease the importation of foreign oil. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar recently extended the public comment period on the Bush leasing proposal by 180 days, providing a total of 240 days to review the drilling plan through September. Obama’s own Interior's Minerals Management Service estimates that the Outer Continental Shelf holds at least eighty-six billion barrels of oil and 420 trillion cubic feet of natural gas that has yet to be discovered. Offshore areas could contain even more oil and gas, especially since the areas that were under the moratorium have not been explored with new technology in 25 years. If the government would earmark these new taxes to pay down the national debt and not add them to the general fund, it would go a long way to helping offset Obama’s trillions that he is adding to it.

"The benefits would be realized without any increase in direct government spending," the report said. "Rather, increased, OCS output would refill national, state, and local government coffers--currently depleted by real estate and credit crises--with additional government outlays." This is just another example of letting the market fix itself instead of the government pouring trillions down the drain. The market will always fix itself if the government will just get out of the way and let it function. I have a new slogan that we could use: Drill here, drill now, pay less and stimulate the economy.

Russian Vladimir Putin more of a capitalist than liberal Democrats.

Some may accuse conservatives of using the "socialist" tag against liberal Democrats as a scare tactic but I assure you the label is well deserved. Former KGB and ex-communist Prime Minister Putin of Russia warned Americans of the dangers of reverting to socialism. Putin was quoted as saying, "In the 20th. Century, the Soviet Union made the state’s role absolute,” “In the long run, this made the Soviet economy totally uncompetitive. This lesson cost us dearly. I am sure nobody wants to see it repeated.” Are you listening President Obama-Pelosi-Reid?

PM Putin went on to say, “Nor should we turn a blind eye to the fact that the spirit of free enterprise, including the principle of personal responsibility of businesspeople, investors, and shareholders for their decisions, is being eroded in the last few months. There is no reason to believe that we can achieve better results by shifting responsibility onto the state.” Putin sounds like a conservative compared to the liberal-socialist Democrats of America. If you told me last week that Putin would be lecturing Democrats about the dangers of socialism, I would swear that I was dreaming.

Putin also sounded Reaganesque when he said, “we must assess the real situation and write off all hopeless debts and ‘bad’ assets. True, this will be an extremely painful and unpleasant process. Far from everyone can accept such measures, fearing for their capitalization, bonuses, or reputation. However, we would ‘conserve’ and prolong the crisis, unless we clean up our balance sheets.” This is a sad day indeed when an ex-communist warns America and the socialist regime now in charge against the perils of socialism. Ammunition Accountability Act-A prelude to gun control

Candidate Obama promised Americans that he would not come after their guns if elected President of the United States. Well, so far he hasn't, but that isn't stopping his liberal surrogates from trying to make guns harder to keep. At present, there are eighteen states trying to pass the Ammunition Accountability Act. This act requires ammunition manufactures to code all rounds with a serial number that will be traced to the purchaser of said ammo. On the surface this may not seem such a bad law as it would help law enforcement track crimes. The devil is always in the details.

Famous leftist and National Socialist leader, Adolph Hitler, once said: "The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty."

Using gun registration records, Adolph Hitler directed the German police to confiscate all firearms from the Jewish populace on November 8, 1938. Any Jew found with any prohibited weapon after that date would be dealt with the "severest punishment." November 10th, 1938, Kristallnacht began. The night of broken glass was just the beginning of what would become the Holocaust where some six million Jews would perish. 2,569 hand weapons, 1,702 firearms and 20,00th.0 rounds of ammunition were confiscated from Jews before all hell broke out on the night of Nov. 10th.

Finding out which Jews had firearms was not too difficult. The predecessor to the National Socialist's, the Weimar Republic, passed a Firearm Law in 1928 requiring extensive police records on gun owners. Hitler signed a further gun control law in early 1938. Other European countries also had laws requiring police records to be kept on persons who possessed firearms. When the Nazis took over Czechoslovakia and Poland in 1939, it was a simple matter to identify gun owners. Many of them disappeared in the middle of the night along with political opponents.

The new proposed legislation would require the retail establishment to record the buyers name, driver’s license number and the date sold and caliber of ammunition. Do you really want the government to know what weapons and how much ammo that you have? To some non gun owners, I may sound a bit paranoid but observing history requires you and me to be a little sensitive on the subject. A leftist socialist government "will" come after your guns sooner rather than later. This new legislation is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to gun control under the new Socialist troikia.

This quote has been around for years but it really epitomizes our country's current situation now that the Senate and House have passed their versions of the "stimulus" bill. Sixty-seven million Americans voted for the socialist troika regime that is now in power and the liberals will use this opportunity as a mandate to make the other 233 million of us suffer the consequences.

The Democrats are going to make sure that they are never out of power again by "buying" future votes with this pork bill. The Obama White House has just taken control of the census and will now have total control of the redistricting of all congressional seats. This partisan move has Rham Emanuel's fingerprints all over it and I do think there are some serious constitutional concerns involved with this power grab.

While the current liberal trillion dollar pork bill is bad enough, it is only the tip of the iceberg. There are more trillion dollar bailouts right around the corner brought to you by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the Grand Puba socialist Obama.
The current Democrats in the House and Senate are drunk on power. They are as excited as a pedophile on viagra in a day care. They need to be stopped before they bastardize the United States of America beyond repair.

If you care about the future of your country, you must take action NOW. You must contact your representatives and tell them that you are going to hold them accountable at the next election. Senators Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe and Arlen Specter need to be thrown out of office as soon as possible.

Searching for that unclinched fist

Former Iranian President Khatami (1997-2005) has thrown his rag into the ring and announced his candidacy for the presidency against madman Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Khatami is considered a moderate much in the same vein as President Mauhmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority. Khatami is a reformist in comparison to Mahmoud and would do much to settle the nerves of the international community in regards to Iranian aggression. The reformist movement enjoyed much success during the late 90's and early 2000's until Ahmadinejad took power.

President Obama's uncleanched fist policy would most likely work with the likes of a President Khatami rather than Ahmadinejad. Ahmadinejad will continue to stall and deceit no matter who is president of the United States and Khatami may fall under the Messiah's trance and relinquishIran's nuclear ambitions. The reform movement in Iran is fragmented at this time and maybe the likes of Khatami can forge them together once again.

The biggest news coming out of this region of the world is who will become the next PM of Israel.
If Bibi Netanyahu wins the race in Israel, all bets are off in regards to the next President of Iran.
If Bibi wins and wins big, he will launch a strike at Iran's nuclear industry to stop the proliferation of thermonuclear warheads. If Israel attacks these nuclear facilaties, Ahmadinjad will be re-elected with a national fervor. We have about twelve hours before we know the results of the Israeli elections and I pray to God it is Bibi.

Is the honeymoon over?

Obama's first two weeks in office is getting off to bumpy ride and I think it is safe to say the honeymoon is over. President Obama started off with a record 83% approval rating-two short weeks later-64% approval. Why you ask. Obama's nominee's for cabinet seats are like a who's who list of tax cheats that are above the law. The bipartisan rejection of the pork laden "stimulus" bill has got Americans really looking into what really is in this bill. Public support for the bill has fallen 12 points since January, and nearly half of those surveyed do not believe it will shorten the recession.

You will not read in the MSM about Obama's falling approval ratings as you would of former Pres. Bush. It seemed that the MSM had daily rants about Bush's low approval ratings and nary a mention about the single digit Democratic controlled Congress approval ratings. Did you know that polls indicate some of Obama's early actions have gone against the tide of public opinion.
It is reported that Americans disagree with Obama's decision to close Guantanamo by 50 to 44 percent. Gallop polling indicates that 58 percent of voters believe it was a mistake for Obama to lift the federal ban on tax monies going to overseas family planning groups that provide abortions.

Are Americans starting to awake from the Obama Worship Syndrome that inflicted them at the voting booth? As I have stated before, Obama and the left will misread the election results and overreach with their socialist agenda. The mere fact that they are trying to pass this pork bill with a straight face is the epitome of overreach. The Iranians have shot down Obama's unclenched fist diplomacy with the same rhetoric that faced the previous administration. The Obama loving (we were told) Europeans are threatening an international trade war because of the "American only" clause in the pork bill. I think Obama is now realizing that being president is a lot harder than just giving a good speech. Is Obama really ready for prime time?
