President Obama may be excluded from Georgia ballot

According to Congressman Tom Tancredo's website, President Obamamay be excluded from the ballot in Georgiaas a candidate for the election this November. There was a lawsuit filed in Georgiaagainst Mr. Obama in regards to his status as a "natural borncitizen" and Obama's attorney, Michael Jablonski, decided not to show forthe proceedings. Mr. Jablonski declaredthat he will no longer participate in administrative court hearings on achallenge to Obama’s spot on Georgia’spresidential primary ballot. The GeorgiaSecretary of State (Brian Kemp) responded to Obama’s attorney with the warning,“if you and your client (Obama) choose to suspend your participation in theOSAH proceedings, please understand that you do so at your own peril.”

The Judge in the case has said he will decide by Feb 5whether or not he will recommend to the Georgia Secretary of State to excludeObama from the ballot. The Georgia Secretaryof State has said he will follow the Judge's recommendation. This ruling itself won’t really hurt Obama’sreelection efforts because Obama lost Georgiain 2008. Georgiahas 16 electoral votes up for grabs this election cycle and those will probablygo to the GOP nominee with or without this ruling. If the “Birthers” win this ruling in Georgia,it will no doubt inspire them to try this tactic in states that Obama needs toclaim the 270 Electoral College votes to win the election. Dear Secretary Kemp:

This is to advise you of serious problems that have developed in the conduct of the hearings pending before the Office of State Administrative Hearings. At issue in these hearings are challenges that allege that President Obama is not eligible to hold or run for re-election to his office, on the now wholly discredited theory that he does not meet the citizenship requirements. As you know, such allegations have been the subject of numerous judicial proceedings around the country, all of which have concluded that they were baseless and, in some instances – including in the State of Georgia – that those bringing the challenges have engaged in sanctionable abuse of our legal process.

Nonetheless, the Administrative Law Judge has exercised no control whatsoever over this proceeding, and it threatens to degenerate into a pure forum for political posturing to the detriment of the reputation of the State and your Office. Rather than bring this matter to a rapid conclusion, the ALJ has insisted on agreeing to a day of hearings, and on the full participation of the President in his capacity as a candidate. Only last week, he denied a Motion to Quash a subpoena he approved on the request of plaintiff’s counsel for the personal appearance of the President at the hearing, now scheduled for January 26.

For these reasons, and as discussed briefly below, you should bring an end to this baseless, costly and unproductive hearing by withdrawing the original hearing request as improvidently issued.

It is well established that there is no legitimate issue here—a conclusion validated time and again by courts around the country. The State of Hawaii produced official records documenting birth there; the President made documents available to the general public by placing them on his website. “Under the United States Constitution, a public record of a state is required to be given ‘full faith and credit’ by all other states in the country. Even if a state were to require its election officials for the first time ever to receive a ‘birth certificate’ as a requirement for a federal candidate’s ballot placement, a document certified by another state, such as a ‘short form’ birth certificate, or the certified long form, would be required to be accepted by all states under the ‘full faith and credit’ clause of the United States Constitution.” Maskell, “Qualifications for President and the “Natural Born” Citizenship Eligibility Requirement,” Congressional Research Service (November 14, 2011), p.41.

Nonetheless, the ALJ has decided, for whatever reason, to lend assistance through his office—and by extension, yours—to the political and legally groundless tactics of the plaintiffs. One of the attorneys for the plaintiffs has downloaded form subpoenas which she tried to serve around the country. Plaintiff’s attorney sent subpoenas seeking to force attendance by an office machine salesman in Seattle; seeking to force the United States Attorney to bring an unnamed “Custodian of Records Department of Homeland Security” to attend the hearing with immunization records; and asking the same U.S. Attorney to bring the same records allegedly possessed by “Custodian of Records of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.” She served subpoenas attempting to compel the production of documents and the attendance of Susan Daniels and John Daniels, both apparently out of state witnesses, regarding Social Security records. She is seeking to compel the Director of Health for the State of Hawaii to bring to Atlanta the “original typewritten 1961 birth certificate #10641 for Barack Obama, II, issued 08.08.1961 by Dr. David Sinclair…,” even though Hawaii courts had dismissed with prejudice the last attempt to force release of confidential records on November 9, 2011. Taitz v. Fuddy, CA No. 11-1-1731-08 RAN.

In Rhodes v. McDonald, 670 F. Supp. 2d 1363, 1365 (USDC MD GA, 2009), Judge Clay Land wrote this of plaintiff’s attorney:

When a lawyer files complaints and motions without a reasonable basis for believing that they are supported by existing law or a modification or extension of existing law, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer uses the courts as a platform for political agenda disconnected from any legitimate legal cause of action, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law….

As a national leader in the so-called ‘birther movement,’ Plaintiff’s counsel has attempted to use litigation to provide the ‘legal foundation’ for her political agenda. She seeks to use the Court’s power to compel discovery in her efforts force the President to produce a ‘birth certificate’ that is satisfactory to herself and her followers.” 670 F. Supp. 2d at 1366.

All issues were presented to your hearing officer—the clear-cut decision to be on the merits, and the flagrantly unethical and unprofessional conduct of counsel—and he has allowed the plaintiffs’ counsel to run amok. He has not even addressed these issues—choosing to ignore them. Perhaps he is aware that there is no credible response; perhaps he appreciates that the very demand made of his office—that it address constitutional issues—is by law not within its authority. See, for example, Flint River Mills v. Henry, 234 Ga. 385, 216 S.E.2d 895 (1975) [1]; Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. r. 616-1-2-.22(3).

The Secretary of State should withdraw the hearing request as being improvidently issued [2]. A referring agency may withdraw the request at any time. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. r. 616-1-2-.17(1). Indeed, regardless of the collapse of proceedings before the ALJ, the original hearing request was defective as a matter of law. Terry v. Handel, 08cv158774S (Superior Court Fulton County, 2008), appeal dismissed, No. S09D0284 (Ga. Supreme Court), reconsideration denied, No. S09A1373. (“The Secretary of State of Georgia is not given any authority that is discretionary nor any that is mandatory to refuse to allow someone to be listed as a candidate for President by a political party because she believes that the candidate might not be qualified.”) Similarly, no law gives the Secretary of State authority to determine the qualifications of someone named by a political party to be on the Presidential Preference Primary ballot. Your duty is determined by the statutory requirement that the Executive Committee of a political party name presidential preference primary candidates. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-193. Consequently, the attempt to hold hearings on qualifications which you may not enforce is ultra vires.

We await your taking the requested action, and as we do so, we will, of course, suspend further participation in these proceedings, including the hearing scheduled for January 26.

Obama throws temper tantrum, cancels Austere Challenge 12 with Israel.

The Obama administration cancels the US-Israeli Austere Challenge 12 war-games that was scheduled to begin this Spring because of disagreements with Israel. Obama is said to be furious at Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Ya'alon when Ya'alon rightly expressed Israels disappointment with Obama's efforts to prevent Iranian nuclearization. Austere Challenge 12” was designed to improve defense systems and cooperation between the United States and Israeli forces and was to include 9,000 US troops.

This latest show of weakness by the Obama administration follows Obama blaming Israel for the recent assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist. The impuissant American President has gone out of his way to place the blame for covert actions inside Iran squarely on the Israeli Mossad and has exposed Obama's animosity towards the Israeli leadership in the process. President Barack Obama has sought to distance the US/Israeli historical relationship since his election in 2008 in an effort to appease Arabs.

In a feeble effort to rationalize the canceling of the Austere Challenge war-games, the Obama administration has stated it was canceled because of "budgetary constraints." When has this President ever canceled anything because of budgetary constraints? The United Kingdom and France has once again taken the lead role in confronting our common enemy, while Obama continues to "lead from behind." The Persians see this gap in leadership and this gap will only embolden the Iranians to take offensive actions they might not consider if the world had a strong American President....a strong American President that backs Israel.

New Hampshire election workers allow "dead" people to vote

The Daily Caller posted a video today that shows how easy it is to commit voter fraud if one so desired. Conservative activist and film maker James O'Keefe investigated how simple it was to actually obtain a ballot by using the name of a dead person in the "Live Free or Die" state. If you are a voter in New Hampshire, you are NOT required to show an ID to prove who you are when you vote. As of September 2011, only thirty US states require some form of ID to vote, which provides many opportunities for voter fraud.

Attorney General Eric Holder and other Liberals claim voter ID laws are forms of "racism" and are enacted only to prevent black Americans from voting. The Department of Justice, led by Eric Holder, has launched an all-out Jihad on states that have enacted voter ID laws. In setting a precedent, the United States Supreme Court has upheld (2008) Indiana's voter ID law, which requires voters to present a valid government issued ID to cast a ballot. Yet, the New Black Panther sympathizing Eric Holder has blocked South Carolina's voter ID law and will no doubt go after other states that enact such laws.

Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman-Shultz (AKA Baghdad Bob) has accused Republicans of "wanting to literally drag us back to Jim Crow laws." As a side note, it was the Democratic Party that imposed racist Jim Crow Laws, but nevertheless the Liberals will do or say anything they can to prevent sensible voter ID laws. The Left has used voter fraud to turn many close elections over the years and in many ways it's the only way they can get elected. When ACORN was exposed for the frauds they are, the Obamanistas took a direct hit in their voter fraud efforts and voter ID laws pose yet another challenge to those efforts. In the words of the Daily Caller, the reality is Eric Holder's actions are not focused on protecting voting rights. They are instead intended to make sure that Barack Obama wins re-election.

Hats off to James O'Keefe and the Daily Caller for exposing this glaring weak link in our voting laws.

OBAMA'S ROAD TO VICTORY HAS SERIOUS OBSTACLES

Candidate Obama won the Presidency in 2008 with a healthy365 Electoral College votes. It takes 270 electoral college votes toclaim the throne and Obama's 2012 road map to victory is becoming a lot harderto navigate. President Obama's top operatives recently met with formerPresident Bill Clinton to seek his advice on how to win re-election in 2012,but it's going to take more than advice from the golden-boy of the DemocraticParty to pull out a victory.

New CNN polling has Obama's approval ratingat 46% vs. 52% disapproval. This ranks higher than only former PresidentsCarter and Ford for a first term President in recent elections and we all knowhow those elections turned out. In the CNN survey, Obama had a 54%-42%disapproval margin with Independent voters and the Independents usually swingthe election. Independents played a key role in the nomination andsubsequent election of Barack Obama in 2008, with about 19 million Independentsvoting for Obama. One of the key swing states Obama must win is Florida(29 electoral votes) and winning Florida requires that Obama not only turn outhis base in huge numbers, but he must also win at least 50% of the Independentsas well.

Pennsylvania is also a must win state for President Obama’sre-election (20 electoral votes) bid, but early polling reveals the right GOPcandidate could flip this state. Ohio(18 electoral votes) is another state that Obama won in 2008 and it's a statethat must to be a part of his winning formula for 2012. It is no accidentthat since becoming President, Obama has visited Ohiomore than any other state. During the 2010 midterm election, Democrats inOhio were swept out of power, butunion thuggery at the polls in 2012 cannot be overlooked by the eventual GOPnominee. Ohio is defiantly upfor grabs this election cycle and whichever candidate wins Ohio,may go on to win the election.

In a side note, there is an interestingdevelopment occurring in Pennsylvaniaand Wisconsin in regards to howthe two states allot their electoral votes in a Presidential election. Republican legislators have introduced bills that would change how electoralvotes are allotted in a presidential election. Under the current system,the candidate who wins the statewide popular vote receives all of the electoralvotes of that state.

The US Constitution allows states to distributetheir electoral votes how they see fit, but if the Republican bills become lawin either Pennsylvania or Wisconsin,those states would change how electoral votes are awarded. The proposedlegislation would award electoral votes on the basis of vote totals withincongressional districts. If a candidate wins a congressional district, thatcandidate would win one Electoral College vote and whichever candidate wins thestatewide race would receive two electoral votes. This legislation haswhiny liberals up in arms and they are accusing Republicans of trying to “rig”the election...only Liberals are allowed to rig elections don't you know.

Virginia (13 electoral votes) isanother state that Obama won in 2008 and it may be up for grabs in 2012. In the recent November election, Virginia Republicans won state-wide races andnow have complete control of state government for only the second time sincethe Civil War---this does not bode well for Obama.

The eventual GOPnominee will need to pick up at least 100 electoral votes that McCain failed tomuster in 2008 (McCain received 173 electoral votes) to win the election. If the GOP can turn FL, OH, PA, NC andVirginia from blue states into red states and keep the states won in 2012 thatwould bring us to about 95 electoral votes. The states I outlined can be won and there are other states Obama won in2008 that can be retaken as well. Obamais not polling well in past reliable Democratic rust belt states and if just afew of these can be turned, it’s all over for the Obama regime. Of course many things (SCOTUS ruling onObama-Care, war with Iran,Fast & Furious investigation et al) can occur in the course of elevenmonths, however, this is how I read the tea leaves at present.

IAEA confirms Iran is working on nuclear weapons

Now that the IAEA has confirmed what the world has known for some time, it's time for the international community to do the right thing before it's too late. This is the last opportunity for the West to impose serious sanctions on Iran's central bank and Iran's oil industry. Israeli leaders will be watching to see if the international community accepts this challenge, or punts the ball like they have in the past. Quite frankly, the UN will not impose crippling sanctions on Iran because they cannot get the cooperation of the Nu-Soviets and the Communist Chinese. The Russians and the Chinese have helped Iran cross the nuclear weapon threshold and they are not going to help stop, what they have helped start. Iran is a danger to the world, but the Russians and the Chinese are even more dangerous because they willingly help rouge states obtain nuclear weapons.

The Iranians will act offended and surprised by the IAEA's findings, but the world knows what their intentions are and those intentions include obtaining a deliverable nuclear weapon and then using this weapon against the state of Israel. The recent "leaks" coming out of Israel indicating that Bibi Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak were trying to gain cabinet support for a strike on Iran, were not leaks at all in my opinion. Israel is not that sloppy when it comes to state secrets. The "leaks" were intended to spark some action from the UN and to mess with the minds of the psychopaths in Iran. I surmise Israel will give the UN weeks, not months, to act decisively. While they wait for the UN to ~~act~~ fail, Israel will be putting the final touches on their military plans. Israel knows the UN is worthless and they know there isn't a Winston Churchill waiting in the wings, so Israel will be required to act.

The ultimate question is, will the United States, France and Great Britain help our ally militarily in their attempt to survive this threat from Iran? Only time will tell, but if NATO can help some Islamist's in Libya, they should be willing to help Israel in a time of need!

Reuters is reporting that former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has died of wounds suffered on Thursday as fighters battling to complete an eight-month-old uprising against his rule overran his hometown Sirte. The body of the former Libyan leader was taken to a location which is being kept secret for security reasons, an NTC official said. "Gaddafi's body is with our unit in a car and we are taking the body to a secret place for security reasons," Mohamed Abdel Kafi, an NTC official in the city of Misrata, told Reuters. His killing, which came swiftly after his capture near Sirte, is the most dramatic single development in the Arab Spring revolts that have unseated rulers in Egypt and Tunisia and threatened the grip on power of the leaders of Syria and Yemen. "He (Gaddafi) was also hit in his head," National Transitional Council official Abdel Majid Mlegta told Reuters. "There was a lot of firing against his group and he died." ALJAZEERA is reporting that another NTC commander said that Moussa Ibrahim, former spokesman for Gaddafi's fallen government, was captured near Sirte. Abdul Hakim Al Jalil, commander of the 11th brigade, also said he had seen the body of the chief of Gaddafi's armed forces, Abu Bakr Younus Jabr. "I've seen him with my own eyes," he said and showed Reuters a picture of Jabr's body. "Moussa Ibrahim was also captured and both of them were transferred to our operations room." Good riddance, Gaddafi was responsible for many innocent deaths and now Gaddafi is regulated to the dustbin of history.

Iranians plot assassinations on US soil--Saudi Ambassador targeted

Five days ago I posted a story about a top Iranian official that called for terrorist attacks "in the heart of Europe." Now we discover the Iranians were plotting to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador in Washington while dining in a Washington restaurant. According to a news conference by the Justice Department, the Iranian terrorist had also planned to bomb the Saudi and Israeli Embassies. A criminal complaint, which was unsealed in federal court in New York City Tuesday, identified the two alleged plotters as Manssor Arbabsiar and Gholam Shakuri, both with ties to Iran, Reuters reported. Arbabsiar has been jailed in New York since September and Shakuri remains at large. Arbabsair, a naturalized U.S. citizen who holds an Iranian passport, allegedly expressed disregard for the collateral damage that the attacks in Washington would have caused. It is being reported that one of the Iranians had tried to contact the Mexican narco-terrorist Zetas organization to help with the assassination. I wonder if this information will resonate with the Obama administration and make them realize we need to seal our southern border. The Iranians kill our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq with no consequence. Will the Obama administration finally get tough with the Iranians? I will post more info when it becomes available.

We must prepare for operations worldwide," reported MEMRI. The Iranian leadership could be characterized as evil, or better yet, insane. Syria threatens to annihilate Tel Aviv

Embattled Syrian President Assad threatens to level Tel Aviv if NATO takes military action against his murdering regime. In a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Assad said: "If a crazy measure is taken against Damascus, I will need not more than six hours to transfer hundreds of rockets and missiles to the Golan Heights to fire them at Tel Aviv." Assad also reiterated that Damascus will also call on Hezbollah in Lebanon to launch such an intensive rocket and missile attack on Israel that the Israeli spy agencies could never imagine. "All these events will happen in three hours, but in the second three hours, Iran will attack the US warships in the Persian Gulf and the US and European interests will be targeted simultaneously," the Iranian news agency FARS reported.

The threats made by Assad are reminiscent of the threats made by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during the first Gulf War. In fact, Saddam fired 39 Scuds towards Israel (Tel Aviv, Haifa) during that war and caused the deaths of 74 Israelis as a consequence. The missiles in the arsenals of Syria, Hezbollah and Iran pose a much greater threat to Israel than the Scuds fired by Saddam. Arab dictators are known for their bluster, but when their power is threatened, all bets are off. According to DEBKA, Syria, Iran and Hezbollah have charted a coordinated military operation for flattening metropolitan Tel Aviv, Israel's financial, industrial and cultural center, with thousands of missiles launched simultaneously by all three - plus the Palestinian Hamas and Jihad Islami firing from the Gaza Strip. Could this be the reason The United States, United Kingdom and France have been reluctant to take significant action against Assad? My guess would be yes.

DEBKA also reported that Israeli officials have never publicly admitted that this threat is on record, but Western intelligence sources have reported that Israel reacted with a warning of its own: If a single Syrian missile explodes in Tel Aviv, Damascus will be first to pay the price, and if the missile offensive persists, one Syrian town after another will be destroyed. The Israeli message to Assad cited the warnings Defense Minister Ehud Barak and other government members addressed in the past year to Hezbollah, that if Tel Aviv comes under attack from its missiles, not only Beirut but all of Lebanon would go up in flames. Assad was given to understand that Syria would go the same way as Lebanon if it engaged in missile belligerence against Israel. It is reported that Israel may have about two hundred nuclear missiles and I would guess they would use these assets to destroy the Syrian towns if attacked.

NATO member Turkey has announced plans for a 10 day military exercise in the southern province of Hatay along the Syrian border and this action is apparently what twisted Assad into his tirade. Turkey in the past has threatened to invade the border area of Syria, so as to carve out a "safe' zone for Syrian refuges trying to escape Assad's murdering onslaught. The dentist trained dictator is reported to have killed about 2700 of his own people during the crackdown, but if history is any guide, the carnage will turn out to be much higher. Arab despots tend to have a fondness for mass graves and I'm sure they will find many more victims once this is all over and Assad is regulated to the dustbin of history.

US Senate candidate Ted Cruz continues to impress Texas Conservatives. Lt. Governor Dewhurst continues to dodge the voters. Dewhurst has skipped NINE candidate forums since he entered the race — he’s skipped Tea Party forums, Republican Women forums, and County Party forums. Dewhurst clearly does not want to attend and answer the tough questions from voters across the state. Texas Conservatives must ask themselves, why is Dewhurst avoiding the voters. The answer is quite clear, Dewhurst is NOT a Conservative and he doesn't want to answer the tough questions. Dewhurst would rather try and cruise to victory on name recognition alone. I have one thing to say to the Lt. Governor.....That dog won't hunt sir!

District is the bluest of blue and has been in the control of Democrats since the 1920's. This is the same district that voted for liberal Chuck Schumer and Anthony Weiner for years. Tonight's victory for Republican Bob Turner is a major slap in the face to President Barack Obama and his failed agenda. It's also a repudiation of Obama's treatment of Israel, because the 9th District has a large Jewish voter base that went for the Republican candidate. Barack Obama received an astounding 78% of the Jewish vote nationwide in 2008 and many New York Jewish voters have said they were sick and tired of the way this administration has treated Israel and wanted to send a message.

It will be interesting to see how the White House tries to spin this huge loss in the coming days. President Obama won this district by 11% in 2008 over Republican John McCain, but his approval rating stands at 33% at present. The Turner campaign has sought to prevent voter fraud at the hands of the Democratic machine by asking a judge to impound the non-regular ballots (i.e. absentee & provisional) because of “gross incompetence” on behalf of the Board of Elections, citing “absentee ballots being mailed to dead people and people who did not request them. There has been many close elections lost because of Democratic zombie (dead voters) voters in the past, so this was a smart move by the Turner campaign. This victory by a Republican candidate in a solid liberal district will send shock waves throughout the country. Will the tone-deaf White House take notice? Doubtful, too much arrogance with this bunch, but it will send a wake-up call to the other elected Democrats throughout the land.

Classified report: Russia tied to blast at U.S. embassy

The Washington Times is reporting that " Russia’s military intelligence (GRU) was responsible for a bomb blast that occurred at an exterior wall of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia, in September." According to the Washington Times, the highly classified report about the Sept. 22 incident was described to the paper by two U.S. officials who have read it. They said the report supports the findings of the Georgian Interior Ministry, which traced the bombing to a Russian military intelligence officer. This is just more evidence that Putin and the Nu-Soviets are not friends of the United States and will resort to cold war tactics to advance their cause.

Putin resents the fact the United States supports and trains the Georgian military and if it wasn't for that support, Putin would have recaptured the former Soviet state. Ever since the "Rose Revolution" and the resignation of former Communist Eduard Shevardnadze in 2003, the Republic of Georgia has been in the cross-hairs of Nu-Soviet aggression. Russian troops invaded the Georgian provinces of South Ossetia and Abkhazia in 2008 after skirmishes broke out between Georgian and Russian forces in South Ossetia. To this day, Russian troops remain in the provinces.

Iran threatens to strike US and NATO assets in Turkey

Turkey is reportedly ready to send troops into Syria to set up a buffer-zone to protect Syrian protesters. Several thousand Syrians have fled into southern Turkey fearing a military assault by President Assad's murdering armed forces, but Turkey now fears that number to increase exponentially. Syria's military has moved into a village near the border with Turkey causing more Syrians to flee the violence. The death toll of Syrian protesters is climbing near the 2,000 mark, which Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has finally condemned. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has expressed his concerns about Turkish intervention in a meeting with Iranian Ayatollah Khamenei, which prompted the Iranian Ayatollah to warn Turkey not to provide any territory to NATO, otherwise it would strike U.S. and NATO targets on Turkish soil.

Iranian warships and submarines have been deployed in the Red Sea and are said to be tracking the movements of United States aircraft carriers. Currently, the USS Enterprise and USS George H. W Bush are patrolling the the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The United States Navy has a huge concentration of naval missile interceptor assets in the area, and the Los Angeles-class USS Bremerton nuclear-powered attack submarine off Bahrain opposite Iran. In early June, the United States Navy deployed the USS Bataan amphibian air carrier strike vessel opposite Syria's Mediterranean coast with 2,000 marines, 6 war planes, 15 attack helicopters, including new V-22 Ospreys, and 27 choppers for landing forces aboard.

To make matters worse, Lebanon braces for the U.N. probe into the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, which is reportedly going to be released within days. If this report names members of Hezbollah and the Syrain regime, new violence could break out in Lebanon. I think it's reasonable to assume that if hostilities break out between Turkey/U.S. and Iran, Israel will be drawn into the conflict. Iran will do all they can (including war) to keep Assad propped up, because Syria is their most important ally in the region. Iran's Great Prophet Mohammad War Games VI, which was launched June 27, should be seen as a warning to Turkey, U.S. and Israeli leaders.

Obama wants credit for cleaning up ‘big mess’??

President Obama told supporters at a fundraiser in Miami on Monday night that he deserves credit for cleaning up the mess he inherited. The new talking point of the this administration is that Obama has created 2 million new jobs. Let's assume for a minute they are right and then let's examine the new jobs. The quality of the jobs the U.S. is creating right now in terms of pay, benefits, hours, and skills leaves a lot to be desired. Half of last month's new jobs came from a single employer — McDonald's. 90% of the new jobs created in the private sector since Obama's immaculation have been created by temporary job agencies.

According to Rightpundits.com, a new study by Ohio State economists, Timothy Conley and Bill Dupor, concludes that the Barack Obama Stimulus program from 2009 may have saved 450,000 state and local government jobs, but destroyed one million private sector jobs in the process. Known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the program was promised to stem the rising unemployment rate following the financial crash. The Obama administration trotted out endless officials from the White House saying that the nearly $1 Trillion dollars in Federal stimulus would keep the unemployment rate below 8%. Not only did the rate exceed 10%, combined with the long-term unemployed and under-employed, about one in four adult, working-age Americans either have no job or are barely working just to make ends meet.

Most of the stimulus money went into propping up state and local school systems, as well as help propping up state Medicare outlays. Less than 10% went for building highways, bridges, etc, those much talked about shovel-ready infrastructure. The ARRA was promised to “save or create” some 2 to 3 Million jobs. But according to this latest study, the number is much lower, around 443,000 government jobs, most being just temporary jobs at that. The counter-effect of the ARRA stimulus program was the loss of some 772,000 HELP service jobs. HELP standing for Health, Education, Leisure and Professional. In the area of Goods-producing, the loss was 362,000 jobs. In other words, the Obama stimulus was an utter failure, as others and myself have been saying all along. The economy is still mired in uncertainty and volatility. Today′s housing news on new home starts shows a major decline in the past year of around 25%. The housing sector has always been the bell-ringer for the entire consumer market.

The new study published by the Ohio State economists cuts through the talking points and exposes the real numbers. The number of unemployed Americans at present is 13.9 million and the unemployment rate is a misleading 9.1 percent. The Labor Department's statistics don't include the underemployed and those who have stopped looking for work. This alternative measure creates a much higher number and it hovers around 16%-17%. You want credit for these numbers Mr. President?? I will give you all the credit you deserve, your policies didn't create this financial mess, but they have made it worse. It is your policies sir that are driving our economy into a double-dip recession. If Obama's true record is exposed, he should lose his re-election bid by 10 points.

The death of NATO

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization was created in 1949 as a combined military force to stem the Communist tide in Europe. The first NATO Secretary General, Lord Ismay, famously stated the organization's goal was "to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down" and for next 40 years that goal was pretty much attained. In 1966, France being France, President Charles de Gaulle pulled France out of NATO's military command and relied on it's own nuclear deterrent to protect them against the Soviet threat. During the decades long Cold War, NATO successfully kept the Soviets and the Warsaw Pact from invading the democratic nations of Europe. In the early 80's, President Ronald Reagan made the controversial decision to place GLCM cruise missiles and the Pershing II missiles in Europe to counter the Warsaw Pact's nuclear capabilities. The first cracks in European support for NATO began to emerge and it wasn't until the USSR shot down a Korean airliner in 1983 did it galvanize support for the missile deployment.

The end of the Cold War and the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact in 1991 removed the de facto main adversary of NATO and this was the beginning of the end for NATO. The end of the Cold War caused a strategic re-evaluation of NATO's military purpose, nature and tasks. In practice this ended up entailing a gradual (and still ongoing) expansion of NATO to Eastern Europe, much to the chagrin to the former Soviet Union. The first military operation carried out by NATO was the bombing of Bosnia and Herzegovina in August of 1995 to undermine the Bosnian Serb Army. This operation was considered successful in regards to a military fighting unit, as it involved 400 NATO aircraft and 5,000 personnel from 15 nations. The NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999 marked the second major combat operation in its history and again was considered successful by military standards.

In 2001, the United States and the United Kingdom attacked the Taliban led government in Afghanistan to root out the al-Qaeda terrorist network. The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was established by the UN Security Council at the end of December 2001 to secure Kabul and the surrounding areas. NATO assumed control of ISAF in 2003 and the ISAF initially included troops from 42 countries. The military roles and quality of NATO troops has been controversial during this conflict. NATO member states have what is called "national caveats", which is a restriction that NATO members place on the use of their forces in combat. These caveats have created opportunities for the insurgents in parts of Afghanistan, while also causing friction within NATO between those nations willing to send their soldiers to the dangerous parts of the country (to fight), and those not willing to do so.

During the Libyan uprising against Colonel Muammar Gaddafi by rebel forces, NATO was once again called upon to take military action against a non-European threat. NATO began enforcing UN resolution 1973 in March of 2011, which calls for a ceasefire, and authorizes military action to protect civilians from Gaddaf'si troops. Divisions within the alliance have surfaced because only eight of twenty-eight member states have actually participated in combat operations. France and Britain have taken the lead role in combat operations, while the United States military continues to fade into the background. NATO has become weak politically and militarily and it really cannot be seen as a cohesive fighting force any longer. Europe has been underfunding its defense capabilities for more than a decade and their political leadership are becoming more like Neville Chamberlain every day. NATO has a long-standing self-obligation for all members to spend at least 2% of their gross national product (GNP) on defense. Currently, only five of 28 members fulfill that obligation and this trend is expected to continue.

U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates stated today (June 10th 2001) that NATO faces a "dim, if not dismal" future. Secretary Gates went on to say, "The blunt reality is that there will be dwindling appetite and patience in the U.S. Congress -- and in the American body politic writ large -- to expend increasingly precious funds on behalf of nations that are apparently unwilling to devote the necessary resources or make the necessary changes to be serious and capable partners in their own defense." Without US funding, NATO is finished as a fighting force. There are three budgets within NATO: one civil and two military. Each NATO member country pays an amount into the budgets based on an agreed cost-sharing formula. The United States contributed about $470 million directly to NATO to support its three commonly funded budgets in 1997. In 2010, for the first time in its 60-year history, NATO was operating in the red with a $700 million deficit. Because of a lack of will and funding, the mightiest military alliance in the history of the world will be no more. Rest in peace NATO!

Is Obama finally going to take action against Syria?

DEBKAFILE is reporting the Obama administration is ready to step-up to the plate and finally take action against Syria for the murderous crackdown on protesters. The death toll is reported to be around one thousand, but I suspect it’s quite higher than that as a mass grave has been found near Deraa. Citizens from the southern city of Deraa say hundreds of Syrians are unaccounted for since a crackdown on protests began on March 18^th and intensified when the army moved in on April 25^th. President Obama is said to be readying sanctions on Syrian dictator Assad and plans to recall the American Ambassador Robert Ford for consultations. Obama has also decided to give the IAEA authorization to report Syria to the UN Security Council in regards to Syria’s apparent violation in building a plutonium reactor for military purposes at Deir A-Zour.

President Obama has been tardy when it comes to making decisive decisions in the foreign policy realm. Obama failed twice during the Iranian election fraud protests and was seen as weak in his response. Obama’s wavering response in Egypt left the State Department scrambling in trying to stay on the same page as the White House. In the end, longtime ally President Mubarak was essentially thrown under the proverbial bus, which helped pave the way for the Muslim Brotherhood to fill the leadership vacuum. When the protests erupted in Libya, Obama was once again asleep at the wheel…or should I say asleep at the golf cart wheel on the 19^th hole. The President dithered while the world watched as the protesters were routed by Col. Gaddafi’s henchmen. At a time, there was a small window of opportunity when the protesters could have captured Tripoli, but Obama waited until that opportune time had passed.

Whether or not Obama’s Syrian strategy will be successful remains to be seen, but I think more action is required. President Obama needs to put pressure on the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for President Assad and his brother Maher Assad for murder. Strong unilateral sanctions need to be applied to

Syria

. If the

United States

will actually lead in this arena, I surmise most of the International community will follow suit. The United Nations must be avoided for the most part because

China

and

Russia

will veto any meaningful sanctions. When it comes to

Iran

or their Syrian ally, Obama appears to be gun-shy about making real decisions. I appreciate the fact that

Iran

and

Syria

can make trouble for our national security interests in that region if we push too hard, but the failure to act because of that fact is seen as weak and is very dangerous. The Obama White House is currently in 2012 campaign mode and I’m confident most of the decisions they make will have political calculations aimed at the election. That could be good for our foreign policy because Obama will want to look decisive instead of looking like the dithering wimp he has been for the past two and half years.

Pakistan helped Bin Laden, Bush-era intel may have lead to hit

I think there is now no question that the Pakistani ISI helped Osama Bin Laden hide from U.S. forces. It has always been suspected Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate (ISID) supported terrorist elements, but now the proof is in. Bin Laden was eventually tracked down and killed in a compound located just a few hundred yards from Pakistan’s prestigious military academy in Abbotabad and I don’t think that was by accident. In December 2009, the government of Tajikistanwarned the United States that efforts to catch bin Laden were being thwarted by corrupt Pakistani spies. According to a United States diplomatic dispatch, General Abdullo Sadulloevich Nazarov, a senior Tajik counterterrorism official, told the Americans that “many” inside Pakistan knew where bin Laden was. The document revealed: “In Pakistan, Osama Bin Laden wasn’t an invisible man, and many knew his whereabouts in North Waziristan, but whenever security forces attempted a raid on his hideouts, the enemy received warning of their approach from sources in the security forces.” It's time Congress takes a look at our relationship with Pakistan and withdraws all economic aid that goes to this country.

Information is now being released showing the Bush administrations use of enhanced interrogation techniques on GITMO detainees may have been the genesis behind the intel that resulted in the Bin Laden hit. U.S. officials say some of the initial strands of intelligence that eventually led to Sunday’s military operation came from terror detainees captured after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. We have heard over the years that water-boarding provided useful intel that saved lives and prevented future terrorist attacks. We know that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was water-boarded many times and now it’s being revealed he may have provided the name of the Bin Laden courier, the same courier that was tracked to Osama’s compound in Pakistan. President Obama is taking credit for the killing of Bin Laden and to some degree it’s deserved, but credit needs to be extended to the Bush administration as well. There will be those that will deny water-boarding had anything to do with the death of Osama Bin Laden, but I think history will show a different story. Ultimately, most of the credit goes to the men and women of our military and intelligence services. They are the true heroes!

A senior Al Qaida commander has said that the terror group has stashed away a nuclear bomb in Europe which will be detonated if bin Laden is ever caught or assassinated, according to new top secret files made public by the Internet whistleblower WikiLeaks. The documents are secret details of the background to capture each of the 780 people held at or have passed through the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba, along with their medical condition and the information they have provided during interrogations. The documents have been released to select European and US news outlets and reveal that the day 9/11 terror killings took place in the USA, the core of Al Qaida was concentrated in a single city of Karachi in Pakistan. The intellectual author of 11 September attacks watched the horrifying scenes of the planes crashing into the twin towers of the World Trade Centre beamed live on TV with key Al Qaida commanders at a safe house in Karachi. While in a nearby hospital the accused mastermind of the bombing of the USS' Cole off Yemen waters was recovering from a tonsillectomy, the alleged organiser of the 2002 Bali bombing was buying lab equipment for a biological weapons programme. Within a day much of the Al Qaida leadership disappeared back to Afghanistan to plan for a long war, the Washington Post reported quoting the fresh leaks on the whereabouts of the international Al Qaida terror brigade. The cache of classified military documents portray the planning of the 9/11 terror attacks and the whereabouts of its plotters including the world's most-wanted terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri on that fateful day. The Guantanamo detainees are assessed “high or medium or low” in terms of their intelligence value and the threat they pose while in detention and the continued threat they might pose if released. The leaks say that four days after 11 September attacks, bin Laden visited a guest house in Afghanistan's Kanadhar province where he told his gathered Arab fighters to “defend Afghanistan against infidel invaders” and to “fight in the name of Allah”. The Intelligence report says after the 9/11 attacks began a peripatetic three weeks for bin Laden and his deputy as they criss-crossed Afghanistan handing out assignments to followers, meetings with top Taliban leadership and delegating control of Al Qaida to the group's 'shura' council, presumably because he feared being captured or killed as the US forces closed in. ‘ISI a terrorist organisation US authorities have described Pakistan's powerful Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency as a terrorist organisation and considered it as much of a threat as Al Qaida and the Taliban. Recommendations to interrogators at Guantanamo Bay rank the ISI directorate alongside Al Qaida, Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon as threats, The Guardian reported quoting secret US files obtained by it. “Being linked to any of these groups is an indication of terrorist or insurgent activity,” the documents dated September 2007 said. “Through associations with these organisations, a detainee may have provided support to Al Qaida or the Taliban, or engaged in hostilities against USA or coalition forces (in Afghanistan),” the document said.

This is much more about faculty and staff than students as one must be 21 year of age to have a Concealed Handgun License (CHL) in Texas.

A common rumor - denied by the Iranian government but widely believed - is that President Ahmadinejad and his cabinet have signed a "contract" pledging themselves to work for the return of the Mahdi and sent it to Jamkaran. CBN News has obtained a never-before-seen video produced by the Iranian regime that says all the signs are moving into place -- and that Iran will soon help usher in the end times. The Iranian terrorist regime now believes the chaos in the Middle East is divine proof that their ultimate victory is at hand.

The video is called "The Coming is Near" and it describes current events in the Middle East as a prelude to the arrival of the mythical twelfth Imam -- the messianic figure who Islamic prophecy says will lead the armies of Islam to victory over all non-Muslims in the last days. According to CBN, "This video has been produced by a group called the Conductors of the Coming, in connection with the Basiji -- the Iranian paramilitary force, and in collaboration with the Iranian president's office," said Reza Kahlil, a former member of Iran's Revolutionary Guards. "Just a few weeks ago, Ahmadenijad's office screened this movie with much excitement for the clerics," Kahlili told CBN News. "The target audience is Muslims in the Middle East and around the world."

The Iranian President has in the past spoken in apocalyptic terms of Iran struggling against an evil West that sought to promote "state terrorism", impose "the logic of the dark ages" and divide the world into "light and dark countries". The speech ended with the messianic appeal to God to "hasten the emergence of your last repository, the Promised One, that perfect and pure human being, the one that will fill this world with justice and peace". As I have stated in the past, an apocalyptic despot cannot be negotiated with and one with nuclear weapons is truly dangerous.

U.S. President Barack Obama is whistling by the grave yard while the rebels in Libya are being slaughtered. While Mr. Obama spends his time on ESPN offering his picks for the NCAA basketball tournament, Col. Qaddafi's troops have routed the rebels and are now poised for a final victory. US Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice has been quoted as saying, "We are discussing very seriously in (UN)Council a range of actions that we believe could be effective in protecting civilians." Someone needs to inform the good Ambassador that Qaddafi's troops are massed outside of Benghazi for the final push to eliminate the opposition. The Libyan Army appeared on state television on Wednesday to set a deadline for residents to leave Benghazi by midnight local time ahead a planned operation to "cleanse" the city.

It has been said that President Carter lost Iran during his four years in office, but Barack Obama will be known as the President that lost the Middle East. Mr. Obama failed to lead during the Iranian protests, he bungled his way through the Egyptian crisis and now his inaction almost assures the survival of the terrorist leader in Libya. Mr. Obama's failures didn't start in the Middle East, they started when he gave in to the Nu-Soviets and abandoned our missile defense bases in Europe. By doing so, Obama alienated our Polish and Czech allies and tarnished our credibility in the process. Barack Obama kicked our British friends to curb early in his administration and has thrown Israel under the bus multiple times over the last couple of years.

Mr. Obama stood by while the Iranian proxy Hezbollah toppled Prime Minister Hariri's government in Lebanon and in doing so we lost a valuable friendly partner in the Middle East. It has been reported that Iran has placed missiles in Venezuela which could reach our Southern border. According to the German daily Die Welt(Nov. 25, 2010), the Iranian regime is planning to place medium range ballistic missiles on Venezuelan soil. An agreement between the two countries was signed during the last visit of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Tehran on October 19, 2010. What is President Obama doing to prevent this Cuban style missile crisis? Allowing Iran to place missiles on Venezuelan soil will be a major threat to our national security.

There is now a contest between Iran and Saudi Arabia and the Sunni-Shiite split in the Arab world, which ramped up to a dangerous level Wednesday. The all-out offensive launched by Bahraini and Saudi security forces, tanks and helicopters to drive the mostly Shiite protesters out of the main square has received the attention of Iran. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad condemned the dispersal of the Shiite protesters as "unjustifiable and irreparable" and Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said ominously: "The unexpected interference of foreign forces in popular uprisings in different countries, including Bahrain, whose people are peacefully after their legitimate demands, can lead the region toward a crisis that will have dangerous consequences."

Would Mr. Obama intervene militarily if Iran and Saudi Arabia were to go to war? Judging by Obama's track record the answer would have to be NO. He would most likely attend a fundraiser and then condemn Iran in the "strongest possible terms." He might send Ambassador Rice to the worthless United Nations to find a solution, all the while he taped an ESPN NFL draft special. After a couple of golf outings and an oversees vacation, Obama might find the time to intervene on behalf of Saudi Arabia. But to the dithering President's surprise, Saudi Arabia has already been defeated and occupied.

New video from an NYPD helicopter has emerged as it hovers 300 feet above the World Trade Center Towers. The 17-minute long film was part of the evidence used by the official inquiry into the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings. The investigation, conducted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology used the Freedom of Information Act to get hold of the footage but it was not made public.

As the international community and the Obama administration dither, Col. Muammar Qaddafi regroups his forces in a final bid to cling to power. The behind-the-scenes talks between U.S., European and NATO officials about the possibility of flight restrictions over Libya may come too late if action isn't taken soon. Meanwhile, the U.S. military is repositioning its naval forces near North Africa indicating possible military steps to break the standoff between Muammar Qaddafi's army and rebel forces.

The U.S. naval forces that are being redeployed off the Libyan coast are the USS Enterprise from the Red Sea and the amphibious USS Kearsarge, which has a fleet of helicopters and about 1,800 Marines aboard. According to Fox News, the U.S. military is trying to figure out where to find a battalion of Marines to attach to the Marine Expeditionary Unit on board the USS Kearsarge. The unit's land troops are currently being used in Afghanistan, but the unit could be in a position to help a humanitarian effort in Libya if other troops are assigned from elsewhere.

Col. Qaddafi told Christiane Amanpour in a recent interview, "I'm surprised that we have an alliance with the West to fight al Qaeda, and now that we are fighting terrorists (Libyan rebels) they have abandoned us," "Perhaps they want to occupy Libya." Qaddafi went on to say that President Obama is a "good man", but said he appeared to be misinformed about the situation in Libya. "The statements I have heard from him (Obama) must have come from someone else," "America is not the international police of the world," Qaddafi added.

The Obama administration must take action now or it risks pro-Qaddifi forces regrouping and overtaking the rebel opposition. We saw what happened when President George H. W. Bush failed to help the Iraqis that were trying to oust Saddam Hussein after Operation Desert Storm. President Bush's failure to eliminate Hussein in 1991 contributed to President George W. Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq in 2003. Let's not repeat that failure!

Did Secretary Geithner violate federal law with Chinese favor?

In a recent Reuters story that discussed China's growing influence as America's largest creditor, it was reported that Treasury Secretary Geithner was asked for a special favor by a top Chinese money manager. What was this favor you ask? According to cables obtained and released by Wikileaks, in June, 2009, the head of China's powerful sovereign wealth fund met with Geithner and requested that he lean on regulators at the U.S. Federal Reserve to speed up the approval of its $1.2 billion investment in Morgan Stanley. Although the cables do not mention if Geithner took any action, China's deal to buy Morgan Stanley shares was announced the very next day.

According to the Reuters story, the two Treasury officials to whom the cables were addressed, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia Robert Dohner and Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Monetary and Financial Policy Mark Sobel, declined through a spokesperson to comment for this story. Oddly enough, the State Department declined to comment as well. I don't pretend to be an expert in this field, but I would think if Secretary Geithner did in fact act upon this request, he would be in violation of federal law. We know from Secretary Geithner's Senate confirmation hearings that he violated US tax laws to the tune of $35,000, so it's not hard to imagine he feels he is above the law.

I have contacted Congressman Issa's office and requested they look into this possible federal violation. Congressman Issa and his staff have their hands full investigating possible crimes committed by the Obama administration, but this is something that needs to be looked into. If Secretary Geithner didn't break the law, great let's move forward, but if he has, he needs to prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Iranians protest regime-Will Obama get it right this time?

Thousands of angry Iranians take to the streets and try their hand (again) at regime change. The Basij have been deployed to the streets of Iran to prevent an Egyptian-style revolution and it's being reported that at least one protester has been killed. "There are dozens of police and security forces in the Vali-ye Asr Avenue ... they have blocked entrances of metro stations in the area," a witness told the Reuters news agency.

According to The Guardian, the riot police and government-sponsored plainclothes basiji militia used teargas, wielded batons and opened fire to disperse protesters who chanted "death to the dictator", a reference to both Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, and the president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. A reformist website is reporting the phone lines of Hossein Mousavi, the opposition leader, have been cut and his house cordoned off by police cars. Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi, a fellow opposition leader, have been under house arrest since last week, with Iranian authorities refusing a request by them to stage Monday's rally.

Debkafile is reporting the slogans brandished by the demonstrators in Iran called for Freedom! Death to the Dictator! and "Mobarak, Ben-Ali, novbat-e-Seyyed-Ali!" They were telling Seyyed-Ali aka supreme ruler Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that it was his turn to go after the Egyptian and Tunisian rulers. Another sign read: "Not Gaza, not Lebanon, but Tunis, Egypt and Iran," an expression of contempt for Iran's meddling in Hizballah and Hamas affairs and its cost to the Iranian people. We will see if the Obama administration has learned any lessons from their mistakes in Egypt and Iran.

The United States lost a lot of credibility with our regional allies for their bungling of the Egyptian crisis. The United States needs to do all they can to support the Iranians in their quest for regime change. The State Department and the Obama White House couldn't stay focused during the Egyptian crisis and it is being reported Obama is furious with Secretary of State Clinton for Obama's failure. Let's take a seat, grab an adult beverage and see what transpires this time.

According to Fox News, the head of the Egyptian ruling party says he expects President Muburak to respond to protesters demands tonight. Egyptian military officials say the armed forces' supreme council has been meeting all day long and will issue a communique shortly. In a statement televised on state television, the army said it had convened the meeting in response to the current political turmoil, and it would continue to convene such meetings according to Al Jazeera. Thursday's meeting was chaired by Defense Minister Mohamed Tantawi rather than President Muburak.

The announcement came as doctors in white lab coats and lawyers in black robes streamed into Cairo's Tahrir Square Thursday, linking striking workers with anti-government protesters to create powerful new momentum for calls to oust Mubarak. With its efforts to manage the crisis failing, the government threatened the army could crack down by imposing martial law.

Embattled Egyptian President says he will pass on some of his authority to Vice President Suleiman, but will stay in office until the presidential elections in September. VP Suleiman spoke after Mubarak and called on protesters to go home and go back to work. Suleiman urged protesters not to listen to "international pressure", which may have been a slap at U.S. President Obama and his failed handling of the Egyptian crisis. President Obama seems to be confused and in over his head when it comes to the unfolding events in Egypt. There are reports that Saudi King Abdullah is furious with Mr. Obama and his apparent betrayal of President Mubarak. Sources disclose that the call, which Obama put into King Abdullah, brought US/Saudi relations into unparalleled crisis and placed the entire edifice of US-Iran and Middle East policies in jeopardy.

U.S. Navy takes position near Suez Canal

Just when it seemed the violence was easing in Egypt new clashes have erupted in southern Egypt. AFT is reporting that three people have been killed and 100 others were wounded. The latest violence comes after Vice President Omar Suleiman stated the uprising cannot continue to be tolerated. Suleiman promised the opposition during negotiations that the government would embark on a far-reaching set of reforms to include amending the constitution. The government also made pledges not to harass protesters and to investigate election fraud and official graft while hinting darkly at foreign influence in the protests.

Egypt could be on the verge of financial breakdown as large sections of its economic machinery are shut down by spreading strikes and workers' revolts against managements appointed by the Mubarak regime. The Obama administration is apparently readying the U.S. Navy in case military force is needed to keep the all important Suez Canal open for business. Debkafile is reporting the USS Kearsarge Expeditionary Strike Group, which consists of six vessels, has taken the strategic point opposite Ismailia between the west bank of the Suez Canal and its eastern Sinai bank. Helicopters on some of their decks are there to transport the 2,200 marines of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, which has been bolstered by two special operations battalions. The flotilla has a rapid strike stealth submarine, the USS Scranton, which is designed to support special forces' operations.

The Suez Canal and its 120 mile supply route has for years served as a vitally important passageway for oil. World oil prices were trading at their highest level in three years this week amid the revolt in Egypt, which for decades has served as a major petroleum transit route. So it would make perfect sense that the U.S. military would take a vital interest in the free flow of traffic in the Suez Canal. It's also being reported that since the uprising began in Egypt two weeks ago, more than 1,000 Hamas terrorists have infiltrated North Sinai from the Gaza Strip and seized control of the region. They were followed by Al-Qaeda cells which redeployed from Iraq in the Gaza Strip. Hamas has established a command center in North Sinai for coordinating its operations with the Muslim Brotherhood in Cairo.

The Egyptian crisis is far from over and many surprises remain to be seen. Will the United States military or the international community take control of the Suez canal? Will Hamas and Al-Qaeda take advantage of this crisis and set up shop in the Sinai? Stay tuned for further developments!

Saudis told Obama to back Mubarak

Saudi Arabia has threatened to prop up President Mubarak if the White House tries to force a swift change of regime in Egypt. In a testy personal telephone call on January 29, King Abdullah told President Obama not to humiliate Mr Mubarak and warned that he would step in to bankroll Egypt if the US withdrew its aid programme, worth $1.5 billion annually. America’s closest ally in the Gulf made clear that the Egyptian President must be allowed to stay on to oversee the transition towards peaceful democracy and then leave with dignity. “Mubarak and King Abdullah are not just allies, they are close friends, and the King is not about to see his friend cast aside and humiliated,” a senior source in the Saudi capital told The Times. Two sources confirmed details of the King’s call.

Muslim Brotherhood joins protests against Mubarak

This is an update to my original post

After sitting out the initial protests against the Egyptian President, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) has ordered their members to join the unrest. This is an important development, because the MB is the most powerful opposition group within Egypt and most certainly has ties to the terrorist regime in Iran. Iran has much to gain if the MB overtakes the current government and the world has much to lose. If this tragedy were to happen, Iran would have troops by proxy on Israels Egyptian, Gaza, and Lebanon borders.

Look for this unrest to spillover to Jordan. The Jordanian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood formed in 1942 and has formed a strong political party (Islamic Action Front) within Jordanian politics. Hezbollah may also take advantage of the worlds attention with the unrest in Egypt to violently takeover of the whole of Lebanon. The Obama White House hasn't shown much leadership in this developing crisis, but lets hope they have contingency plans in place when it comes to the control of the Suez Canal. We cannot allow allies of Iran to control this important waterway and we need to do everything in our power to prevent that. Here are the latest headlines coming out of Egypt:

Almost a million security officers and units of the Interior Ministry's special units, have been on their feet for three days quelling outbreaks. They are exhausted and demoralized. They managed to keep the demonstrations from getting out of hand, but not to suppress them. Now that millions of Muslim Brotherhood loyalists have been told to throw in their lot with the protest movement, the beleaguered 82-year old President Hosni Mubarak can no longer avoid sending the army in to stem the unrest, which looks increasingly like turning into a popular revolution. Mubarak declared a night-time curfew after a day of running street battles between police and demonstrators unprecedented in his 30 year-rule. But clashes continued into the evening and a Reuters witness said shots were heard in central Cairo. Dozens of people were wounded during the day when security forces fired rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannon at crowds and baton charged them. The protesters hurled back stones and shouted "Down, Down, Hosni Mubarak." REUTERS
Internet and cell phone services, at least in Cairo, appeared to be largely cut off since overnight in the most extreme measure so far to try to hamper protesters form organizing. However, that did not prevent tens of thousands from flooding the streets, emboldened by the recent uprising in Tunisia — another North African Arab nation. Even Nobel Peace laureate Mohamed ElBaradei, one of the country's leading pro-democracy advocates, was under house arrest after joining the protests. AP

In the third consecutive Friday of protests, about 3,500 opposition activists from Jordan's main Islamist opposition group, trade unions and leftist organisations gathered in the capital, waving colourful banners reading: "Send the corrupt guys to court".
The crowd denounced Samir Rifai's, the prime minister, and his unpopular policies. Many shouted: "Rifai go away, prices are on fire and so are the Jordanians.'' ALJAZEERA
Tanks began deploying around Cairo, Alexandria and Suez, the official MENA news agency reported, after a day of violent clashes between police and protesters demanding an end to Mubarak's rule. A number of police members removed their suits and joined protests against the regime, according to Al Arabiya. Egypt's four main Internet service providers (ISPs) cut off international access to their customers in a near simultaneous and unprecedented move, an Internet monitoring company said. "Virtually all of Egypt's Internet addresses are now unreachable, worldwide," said James Cowie of Renesys, a New Hampshire-based firm which monitors Internet routing data in real-time. AL ARABIYA

Horrific video footage has emerged of Taliban insurgents stoning a couple to death for alleged adultery in northern Afghanistan. Hundreds of villagers can be seen on the video standing around as the woman, Siddqa, is buried up to her waist in a four foot hole in the ground.
Two mullahs pass sentence before the crowd begins to throw rocks at her head and body as she desperately tries to crawl free.

But the 19-year-old collapses to the ground, covered in blood - but miraculously still alive.

At this point a Taliban fighter shoots her three times in the head with an AK-47The crowd can be heard shouting allahu akbar as she is killed.

Her lover, Khayyam, is then marched in front of the crowd with his hands tied behind his back.

He is blindfolded with his own tunic and crouches down close to the ground as he tried to protect his body from the stones.

Punished: Her alleged lover, Khyyam, crouches down after being blindfolded and having his hands tied behind his back, but he is battered to the floor by a barrage of rocks. He can be heard sobbing before eventually falling silent. The stoning - the first to be documented on film since the Taliban were ousted from power - took place in the district of Dashte Archi, in Kunduz, last August.

Officials said that Siddqa had run away after being sold into an arranged marriage for $9,000 against her will. She ran away to be with Khayyam, who was already married and had two children, and the pair eloped to Pakistan. Charges: Khyyam was marched in front of hundreds of villagers in Dashte Archi, Afghanistan, before they hurled rocks at his head and body. Brutal: Men hurl chunks of rock, some bigger than a fist, during the execution, but it is understand that they returned to their home village after being reassured by leaders that they would be unharmed.

It was a terrible mistake. They were dragged from their families' homes at 2am by Taliban fighters and then put before a kangaroo court before being executed. The incident took place last October near the Afghan border with Tajikstan, a conservative district with a heavy extremist presence. The area remains under Taliban control, but regional police have said those behind the stoning will be charged.

Egyptian protests continue, Gamal Mubarak flees to UK

It is being reported that Gamal Mubarak,Hosni Mubarak's heir apparent, has fled to England by private jet with nearly one hundred pieces of luggage. There are unconfirmed reports that Egyptian first lady Suzanne Mubarak was spotted at London Heathrow by airport workers. If these reports turn out to be true, it could spell doom for the 83 year old President. More than 100,000 protesters took to the streets in Cairo and other Egyptian cities Tuesday to demonstrate against the thirty year rule of Hosni Mubarak. Protesters are using Twitter and Facebook to organize demonstrations, but some are reporting the social networks as being blocked to some degree.

If Egypt follows the same path as Tunisia and the Mubarak government is overthrown, it could create more chaos for that region of the world. The Muslim Brotherhood movement in Egypt could rise to power in the vacuum created by a toppled government. The Muslim Brotherhood's stated goal is to instill the Quran and Sunnah (Sharia Law) as the sole reference point for Muslim life in Egypt. The Hamas terrorist organization grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood. Beginning in the late 1960s, Hamas's founder and spiritual leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, preached and did charitable work in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, both of which were occupied by Israel following the 1967 Six-Day War.

In 1973, Yassin established al-Mujamma' al-Islami (the Islamic Center) to coordinate the Muslim Brotherhood's political activities in Gaza. Yassin founded Hamas as the Muslim Brotherhood's local political arm in December 1987, following the eruption of the first intifada, a Palestinian uprising against Israeli control of the West Bank and Gaza. Hamas published its official charter in 1988, moving decidedly away from the Muslim Brotherhood's ethos of nonviolence. What this would mean for Egyptian/Israeli relations remains to be seen.

I have written Dr. Tawfik Hamid to get his thoughts on the current crisis and I will report his analytic thinking once I get a response. For those of you that aren't familiar with Dr. Hamid, Mr. Hamid is an Islamic thinker and reformer, and one time Islamic extremist from Egypt. He was a member of a terrorist Islamic organization JI with Dr. Ayman Al-Zawaherri who became later on the second in command of Al-Qaeda. Some twenty-five years ago, he recognized the threat of Radical Islam and the need for a reformation based upon modern peaceful interpretations of classical Islamic core texts.

Just heard back from Dr. Hamid. He theorizes the Egyptian military establishment will sacrifice President Mubarak so as to look like heroes to the masses. He goes on to state the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the government and the police, but the public has lost respect for them for boycotting the current protests. Dr. Hamid ends his email with this prediction: "The Military regimen will regain control of the country but I do not think that Mubarak or his son (especially after his escape to London) will be part in the coming election of Egypt."

Hezbullah Resigns-Lebanese Gov't Topples. Obama Offers Support

As predicted, Hezbullah (March 8 coalition) has pulled out of the Lebanese coalition government and might be setting the stage for a coup d'état. Minister of State Adnan Sayyed Hussein (Hezbullah) announced Wednesday his resignation from Prime Minister Saad Hariri's government raising the number of resigned ministers to 11. The Hezbullah ministers resigned over tensions stemming from a UN-backed tribunal investigating the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri. It is widely expected the U.N. tribunal will name Hezbullah officials in the assassination of Hariri.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri met with Barack Obama today (Wednesday) and will be flying to Paris to meet with French President Sarkozy to discus the situation. It has been reported that President Obama offered Prime Minister Hariri his support, but what kind of "support" isn't known. What is known is the United States ordered US Navy vessels to reinforce the Sixth Fleet stationed in the eastern Mediterranean in case of conflict. The USS Enterprise carrier strike group and the USS Bainbridge missile destroyer are said to be in the area. It has been reported the French Navy was also ordered to strengthen it's presence opposite Lebanon.

Hezbullah Energy Minister Jibran Bassil was quoted as saying, "This cabinet has become a burden on the Lebanese, unable to do its work, we are giving a chance for another government to take over." I think that may be the clue Hezbullah intends to take over the reins of government by force. This crisis has been in the making for many months now and has been orchestrated by the terrorist Iranian regime of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Whether Hezbullah creates a situation in northern Israel that ignites another war remains to be seen, but it certainly cannot be discounted. Hezbullah is armed to the teeth (60,000) with Iranian, Syrian supplied missiles and may want use them to create a distraction. I always assumed Iran would use their terrorist proxy in Lebanon to attack Israel when Israel attacked Iran's nuclear infrastructure, but that may change. The U.N. tribunal may release their findings within days, so don't be surprised if new violence breaks out in Lebanon. Stay tuned!

Israel, Obama may be parting ways on the Iranian question

There is chatter coming out of Israel that Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Obama Administration are locking horns on the Iranian question. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak is reported to have put the brakes on the common practice of American military leaders from consulting one-on-one with their Israeli counterparts. It is believed that President Obama has used these opportunities to go around the Israeli ministers and convince Israeli military leaders that military action against Iran would be counterproductive. DEBKAFILE reported that Ehud Barak denied Obama's Special Adviser on the Middle East Dennis Ross from setting up separate interviews with the IDF's incoming and outgoing Chiefs-of-Staffs and head of intelligence. During 2009 and early 2010, hardly a week went by without high-ranking US bureaucrats and generals touching down in Israel and going straight into nonstop meetings with IDF officers according to DEBKAFILE.

In March 2010, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had promised President Barack Obama to withhold public statements on the Iranian nuclear threat for a year, during which he would give President Obama the chance to try his hand at halting Iran's progress toward a nuclear weapon according to reports. It is apparent that the Iranians continue to play the West as fools, all the while the Iranians continue down the road to a nuclear bomb. The Israelis have apparently concluded that Obama's overtures to Iran to be ineffective and Israel may be gearing up for a preemptive strike.

While the Stuxnet worm may have set back the Iranian nuclear program by two years, the Israelis cannot sit idly by and allow Persia to continue in their quest to annihilate the Jewish state. Iran continues to arm Hezbollah and Hamas with more sophisticated weaponry to attack Israel, creating a three front war. It is reported that Obama has concluded that Israel has hardened its position on military action against Iran – deciding, in particular, that the accumulation of weapons from Iran and Syria to Hezbollah had gone beyond what Israel found supportable for its security. I would agree the scales are tipping in favor of the Muslim terrorists in the region and no amount of "negotiations" will stem the tide. 2011 should be the year when Neville Chamberlain-style weakness ends and Churchillian gallantry begins.

According to the German daily Die Welt(Nov. 25, 2010), the Iranian regime is planning to place medium range ballistic missiles on Venezuelan soil. An agreement between the two countries was signed during the last visit of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Tehran on October 19, 2010. According to Die Welt, Iranian Shahab 3 (range 1,300-1,500 km), Scud-B (285-330 km) and Scud-C (300, 500 and 700 km) missiles will be deployed at a base manned by Iranian missile officers, soldiers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Iran has given permission for the missiles to be used in case of an "emergency."

Why we haven't heard about this situation in the American main-stream media just baffles the mind. The Obama Administration has dithered on our missile defense shield in Europe and continues to dither while the Iranians inch closer to a nuclear bomb. Maybe this news will get the presidents attention, but I'm not holding my breath. Hugo Chavez has always made a lot of noise trying to be relevant on the international stage, but if these reports turn out to be true, it's time we give him our full attention. There are already credible reports of the Iranian proxy terrorist group,Hezbollah, being trained on Venezuelan soil, so this new information comes as no surprise.

Venezuela has become the primary country where the Iranians move restricted materials to avoid international sanctions. The Nu-Soviets have restricted the sale of the S-300 missile defense system to the Iranians, but have announced they will sell the advanced system to Hugo Chavez. You can bet this system will end up in Iran to protect Tehran from an Israeli preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear infrastructure. According to Reuters, Iran has developed a version of the Russian S-300 missile and will test-fire it soon, as declared by the official news agency IRNA, two months after Moscow cancelled the delivery to comply with United Nations sanctions. The Iranians have become quite good at reverse engineering and will do the same with the S-300.

This situation may end up looking like the Cuban missile crisis, circa 1962, and I can assure you Barack Obama is no John F. Kennedy. President Kennedy had the gravitas to stand up to the Soviets and to impose a blockade on Cuba. Mr. Obama has not shown he has the intestinal fortitude to stand up to despots and these thugs can smell chum in the water. The Iranians are being very smart in their actions regarding the United States and Israel. The Iranians are using Hamas and Hezbollah and their proximity to threaten Israel and now they are using Venezuela and our southern border to threaten our soft underbelly. I wish I had the confidence in this administration to protect our country, but I must admit, I have my doubts.

MAY 16 2011. According to Die Welt, Iran is now funding the construction of missile silos in Venezuela that will house Iranian missiles. North Korea attacks South Korea and Obama dithers

As North Korea ramps up it's 2,000 working centrifuges that processes uranium adaptable to the fueling of nuclear weapons, it also sticks it's collective thumb in the eyes of President Obama and the South Koreans. The weak response from the Obama Administration, just one day after the ferocious artillery barrage on Yeonpyeong Island, will only encourage Kim Jong Ill's deadly tantrums. North Korea shelled the South Korean Island for more than an hour, killing two ROK Marines and destroyed more than a dozen homes. This comes just eight months after the North sank a South Korean warship with barely a slap on the wrist from the international community. China, North Korea's principle ally, never condemns the retarded step-son for his belligerent actions, which, in turn only encourages more deadly behavior.

Japanese prime minister Naoto Kan has maintained to Obama that North Korea must not be allowed to get away with two armed attacks on the South in the space of eight months without a military response, but Obama has declined, claiming the attack was not a "crisis." The Obama Administration has just announced more military maneuvers with the South Korean armed forces in response to the North's provocation. This is the same response we always get from this President, and to expect a different result is just folly. It is time the United States considers the re-deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula as a deterrent to the North. It is time that China realizes that the United States is serious about North Korea's provocations.

The Russians have condemned Kim Jong Ill's attack, which is encouraging, but it's not quite enough. China must reign in the North or face a possible war on their doorstep. China is certainly not our friend and they continue to support dangerous regimes around the globe. President Obama got his 3am phone call, actually 3:55am, and he dithered once again. This President is not feared by the bad guys, which only encourages more bad behavior. It is time for Mr. Obama to grow a set and put our enemies on notice. President Bush was not liked by our enemies for good reason. They knew he might just regulate them to the dustbin of history.

THE DAY OF RECKONING FOR OBAMA AND DEMOCRATS

The day of reckoning for Obama and the Democrats has arrived. It has been two years since Obama uttered the messianic verse, "We are the ones we've been waiting for," and many things have changed since that time. The Democrats rode into town on Obama's coattails in 2008 claiming they would hold power for generations to come. The Democrats and their lapdogs in the media will blame their collective defeat on George W. Bush's failed economy and that "we" the people didn't give them enough time to fix it. The real reason is the American public saw the Democrats for what they truly are. Americans witnessed the Democratic Party impose their socialistic agenda on the economy and ignored us when we said STOP! The Leftist troika (Obama-Pelosi-Reid) refused to listen and said that Americans just didn't understand what they were trying to accomplish. We understand exactly what they are trying to accomplish and we don't want any part of it. Tuesday, November 2nd is the day we will say, "you are the ones we've been waiting to fire from office."

Here are my predictions for the midterm elections: The US Senate will end up in a 50/50 tie, with Vice President Joe Biden holding the tie breaking vote. There are 7 Senate seats that are currently rated as toss-ups and I predict Republicans will take 5 of the 7. In Colorado, Republican Ken Buck will overtake Mike Bennet. California will be won by incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer. Unless ACORN steals the election in Illinois, I predict Mark Kirk will overtake Alexi Giannoulias for Obama's seat. One of the big upsets of the night will be Sharron Angle defeating Harry Reid in Nevada. In Pennsylvania, Republican Toomey will beat Sestak to give Republicans Arlen Specter's seat. In Washington, I think Dino Rossi will upset Patty Murray for that seat, even though Murray has lead late in some polls. I was hoping that we would retake the West Virgina seat, but I think Joe Manchin has it in the bag.

In the battle for the House there are too many races to analyze, but I predict that Republicans will take about 62 seats giving them a 20 plus cushion. I know there are some pundits saying Republicans could take up to 100 House seats, but I'm unwilling to go there. If Republicans do in fact take that many seats, this would be the biggest defeat for Democrats in modern history and a sure repudiation of President Obama. After tomorrow nights election, we begin the race to defeat President Obama in 2012. The primaries are just one year away with many names being tossed around. Who is your candidate?

The Yom Kippur War 37 years later

Thirty seven years ago today a coalition of Arab armies invaded Israel during the holy day of Yom Kippur. Egypt and Syria, supplied with new Soviet armaments, crossed the 1967 ceasefire lines into the Israeli held Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights with the goal of recapturing territory lost in the Six Day War. Egyptian President Sadat showed his hand as early as 1972 when he announced that Egypt was committed to going to war with Israel and was prepared to "sacrifice" one million Muslims soldiers to that end. After early successes by the Egyptian military, Israel recovered and once again took the fight to the enemy. Many people do not realize how close the United States and the Soviet Union came to going to war with each other during this time of conflict in the Middle East. The Soviets threatened to go to war on the side of Egypt if the United States didn't compel the Israelis to adhere to the ceasefire. In the end Israel suffered about 2800 KIA and almost 9000 wounded. Although Egypt and Syria never released causality figures, it is thought that they lost a combined 15,000 KIA and some 35,000 wounded. Thirty seven years later, Muslim leaders are still willing to "sacrifice" millions of their own just to eliminate the state of Israel. Don't be surprised if we see another provocation soon, only this time the characters will be Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas. The Muslims will never learn their lesson up and until they are finally defeated in toto. Golda Meir was right when she said, "If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel."

As a firefighter, I decided I'd send along a poem I wrote to help folks understand what might have happened that horrific day. There are several layers of meaning marbled within it; words of healing as well. It is written in iambic pentameter, the preferred style of Robert Service - you'll find the rhythm.
"Calling All Angels! Calling All Angels!" Went out his thunderous plea.
"I am thy Lord beseeching my horde to assemble in front of me!"
In a flash the angels did dash to gather at His feet,
And hear His plan to help all man by use of Heaven's elite.

"The Devil's made a play this September day to hurt the ones I love,
He's loosed upon earth his demonic worth now push has come to shove.
I'll not stand by and have good men die without awareness in their heart,
So this day in my plan-full way a battle I'm going to start."

"Gabriel old friend to this end welcome every woman and man,
That'll come our way this fateful day who died by Satan's hand.
And before you go you need to know a few you'll bring straight to me,
Firefighters all now standing tall known as The Three-Forty-Three."

With Gabriel gone and quiet the throng they wondered at His plan,
To send and quell the flames of hell by use of mortal man.

This young girl is being stoned and stomped to death because she didn't want to marry an older man, which was arranged by her family. An Islamic Court sentenced this young woman to death under the tenets of Sharia Law, the same Sharia Law practicing Muslims want to impose on us. At present, the United Kingdom allows Sharia Law for civil cases involving Muslims under the Arbitration Act of 1996. As Muslim populations continue to grow in the European Union and the United States, pressure will no doubt grow for Muslims to be able to impose their own laws within their community. Will Iran sabotage Palestinian-Israeli peace talks?

With the start of Palestinian-Israeli peace talks in Washington I predict we will see a Hezbollah attack on Israel’s northern border within a week. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (Quds Force) controls the Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon and will do all they can to sabotage any agreement between the Fatah controlled Palestinian Authority and Israel.

While most would agree that these talks are doomed to failure without any help from outside forces, the Iranians can take no chance of any semblance of success. If by some chance Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas succeed in the framework of a peace plan, enormous pressure from the international community will force both party’s to implement said plan.

The fact that the Arab league pushed Abbas into agreeing to direct talks with Israel says much about the Arab world mindset. The Arab nations (Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt) fear Iranian influence in the Middle East and they know Iran is using the Palestinian issue to further their cause. The so-called moderate Arab nations have turned their collective backs on Hamas and Hezbollah because they know these groups are Iranian proxies and are being used to expand Iranian influence in the Middle East.

Debkafile is reporting that the Iranian al Qods commander of Tehran's networks and surrogates in Iraq, the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Authority has spent the last ten days in Damascus Syria planning new attacks on Israel. According to Debkafile, Hezbollah's direct commander on behalf of the IRGC, Hassan Mahdavi, is reported by Western intelligence sources as monitoring events in Lebanon. Mahdavi is reportedly leaning hard on Hezbollah's secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah to strike IDF forces within a few days in response to US sponsorship of direct Israeli-Palestinian talks.

The Iranians know Hamas can do little to damage any agreement between Israel and the PA because Hamas is still smarting from Operation Cast Lead. Minus an attack by the United States or Israel on Tehran’s nuclear infrastructure anytime soon, the only Iranian option is to use Hezbollah to create chaos. I will also predict that the UN will soft peddle any attack on Israel by Hezbollah and press Israel into another worthless agreement like 1701. Let’s hope I’m wrong!

I made several calls to Reps Barbara Lee, Denise Kuncinich and Lynn Woolsey this morning seeking comment and after talking to staffers I was transfered to their respective press secretary's voice mail. I have sent faxes and FaceBook messages to other Representatives as well seeking comment on the Gateway Pundit story but to no avail. However, I just received a call from Rep Woolsey's press secretary (Carl Rauscher) denying the story and claiming that he has never heard of the socialist caucus and quite frankly neither have I. He went on to state that Rep Woolsey was in fact a member of the Progressive Caucus, which is not a groundbreaking revelation. Mr. Rauscher questioned whether the Socialist Party of America (SPA) even existed upon which I informed him they have in fact existed since the early 20th century. I also sent an email to the SPA asking for clarification on the alleged 2009 newsletter and as of this writing have not heard back from them. I will do more checking on this story to see if it has legs and hopefully I will hear back from other Reps either admitting or denying this story. As of now it looks like just another hoax hitting the net. I would like to thank Carl for doing some leg work on his end and getting back to me.

IRAN UPDATE: USS NASSAU TAKES POSITION IN GULF REGION

According to DEBKAfile, military sources report that Washington has posted a third carrier opposite Iran's shores. The USS Nassau (LHA-4) is a Tarawa Class amphibious assault ship and is being accompanied by the USS Mesa Verde and USS Ashland. The USS Nassau (Harrier Carrier) can launch Marine AV-8B Harrier jets, AH-1W Super Cobra's, CH-46 Sea Knight's, CH-53 Sea Stallion's and the V-22 Osprey in combat situations. This mini armada adds about 4,000 Navy and Marine Corps personnel, bringing the total US strength in these waters to three carriers and 10,000 combat personnel.

The USS Harry S. Truman carrier strike group and it's twelve warships are reported to be cruising in the Arabian Sea near the Revolutionary Guards biggest naval base. It is this naval base that would most likely launch naval forces to shut down The Strait of Hormuz in the event of conflict. The Iranians have promised to shut down The Strait of Hormuz to commercial traffic and halt the trade of two-fifths of all global oil. If this were to happen, oil prices would most assuredly top $200.00 a barrel causing an already weak global economy to collapse. So it's logical that US naval forces would concentrate on this Revolutionary Guard naval base and try to prevent such a closure. The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and it's strike force is said to be further West of the USS Truman in the Arabian Sea.

The addition of the USS Nassau to the region shows there is growing pressure on the Obama Administration to prepare for military conflict with the Republic of Iran. The most recent sanctions that were passed by the UN are weak and will do nothing to deter Iran's nuclear ambitions. It is reported that Iran has enough uranium in it's stockpiles to produce two nuclear weapons and weak sanctions will not keep the Iranians from further enrichment. The winds of war may be blowing towards Persia ever so quietly. The United States has been deploying Patriot PAC-3 missile batteries tacitly in the Persian Gulf region over the last year. The US Navy Aegis anti-missile ships have been deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean to cover Israel against an Iranian missile bombardment in the event of a strike on Iran. Ten US warships plus an Israeli and German battle vessel transited the Suez Canal June 18th in route towards the Persian Gulf. This armada is being led by the USS Harry S. Truman carrier and its Strike Group of 60 fighter-bombers and 6,000 seamen and marines. This all comes on the heels of the recent announcement by Saudi Arabia that reiterates it’s agreement with Israel in regards to flyover rights for the Israeli Air Force.

In early June US, French and UK warships practiced simulated marine force attacks on ground targets with close air support supplied by the USS Harry S. Truman and the Charles de Gaulle. This simulated attack on Iran and our military movements has apparently alarmed the regime in Iran to respond with military movements of their own. According to DEBKAfile, The Republic of Iran has declared a “state of war” on it’s Northwestern border with Azerbaijan and has mobilized the Revolutionary Guard, which are being massed in the Caspian Sea region. Tehran claims the United States and Israel are concentrating military forces on Azerbaijan army and airbases. Iranian Brig Gen. Mehdi Moini was quoted as saying, “The mobilization is due to the presence of American and Israeli forces on the Western border.”

Iranian sources are reporting that Israel has secretly transferred a large number of bomber jets to Azerbaijan via Georgia. I don’t know what kind of relationship Azerbaijan and Israel have but I do know that Georgia and Israel are somewhat close. The Israelis are done with Obama’s failed Iranian policy and have started to put the final pieces together for a strike on Iran. I will give the Obama Administration a little credit for beefing up our offensive and defensive capabilities in the region in anticipation of an Israeli strike. Although President Obama still hasn’t given Israel landing rights in Iraq but hopefully that will change when an Israeli strike becomes a fait accompli.

Former officers in Revolutionary Guard reveal tensions within regime

The one year anniversary of Iran's disputed elections and the murder that followed came and went without much notice. The Guardian media outlet recently released a video of former Republican Guard soldiers that took part in the suppression of the Iranian people. One former soldier claims that the Iranian regime was terrified and had made plans to escape to Syria if need be. This makes me wonder if the Obama Administrations timidity during this event could have cost us an opportunity to rid the world of this evil regime. We will never know if our Intelligence Services were doing anything to help the opposition topple this government, but I would like to think they were. Judging by Mr. Obama's weak foreign policy I would say their hands were probably tied. Watch this video, it is very revealing as to the inner workings of the Republican Guard.

Democratic Congressman goes crazy and assaults student

North Carolina Rep. Bob Etheridge assaults college student for asking if the Congressman supported the Obama agenda. I called Etheridge's office this morning and spoke with a staffer which I asked if the Congressman had a response to the assault. The staffer didn't even deny that it was an "assualt." The staffer stated that he hasn't seen Etheridge as of yet so he had no comment but they would contact me with a response soon. I doubt I hear anything back from Etheridge's office, but I do think assault charges should be filed against the good Congressman. That Obama Kool Aid appears to be driving those who drink it crazy.

The "perfect storm" for war on the Korean Peninsula

The North Korean regime has threatened another "all-out war" if South Korea takes punitive action over the sinking of the Navy corvette Cheonan on March 26. It seems the the pot-bellied pig dictator threatens war every chance he gets but this time it may be different. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak is not passive like some of his predecessors and has stood firm against this aggression by the North. South Korean soldiers of the Mt. Baekdu Unit in Gangwon Province have been ordered to start psychological warfare operations which were abandoned six years ago. These tactics were seen as effective in undermining the ideological morale of N. Korean troops in the past and will not be looked upon kindly by their leadership. The South Korean government has also imposed new sanctions on the North that could cost the cash strapped country upwards of $300 million. These actions and the announcement of new war games to be conducted by S. Korean/American forces may be the tipping point for Kim Jong il.

Lets take a look at past provocations by North Korea.

02/1958- North Korean agents hijacked a South Korean airliner to Pyongyang
that had been en route from Pusan to Seoul. Eight hostages still remain in DPR prisons.

04/1965 — Two North Korean MiG jet fighters “attacked and damaged” a U.S.
RB-47 reconnaissance plane over the Sea of Japan.

01/1968 — A 31-member commando team, disguised as South Korean soldiers
and civilians, infiltrated within striking distance of President Park
Chung Hee’s office/residence complex (The Blue House) before they
were intercepted by South Korean police.

01/1968 — Two days after the commando attempt on President Park, North
Korea seized the U.S. intelligence ship Pueblo with a crew of 83
officers and men off Wonsan in international waters.

10/1968 — One hundred and thirty sea-borne commandos infiltrated the Ulchin
and Samchok areas on the eastern coast of South Korea.

04/1969 — North Korean MiG jet fighters shot down an unarmed U.S. EC-121
reconnaissance plane over the Sea of Japan, about 90 miles off the
North Korean coast, resulting in the loss of 31 lives.

10/1969 — Four U.S. soldiers were ambushed and killed by North Korean
intruders near the southern boundary of the DMZ.

12/1969 — North Korean agents hijacked a South Korean airliner YS-11 to
Wonsan en route from Kangnung to Seoul with 51 persons aboard.

There are many more incidents that have occurred over the years including the 400 plus S. Koreans that have been kidnapped by the North with most of those still being held captive. The Korean Peninsula has truly never been peaceful since the armistice was signed in 1953, but "all-out war" has been avoided so far. This time we may not be so lucky. North Korea declared Tuesday that it would sever all communication and relations with Seoul and also announced it would expel all South Koreans working at a joint factory park in the northern border town of Kaesong. I think you will see another temper tantrum from the North once the war games start off their coast which may lead to another military provocation-this time involving US troops and sailors.

President Obama is looked upon as weak by most dictators around the world and Kim Jong il knows we are currently bogged down militarily in Iraq and Afghanistan, so this may be the "perfect storm" that allows war to erupt on the Korean Peninsula. I hope Obama knows the gravity of the situation because we have twenty-eight thousand plus troops in harms way in that theater. The US lost 33,629 soldiers in battle and 20,617 non-combat deaths in the Korean War. 70% of N. Korea's active force, including approximately 700,000 troops, over 8,000 artillery systems, and 2,000 tanks, is postured within 90 miles of the DMZ. The North could destroy much of Seoul in a matter of hours with the thousands of artillery pieces that they have trained on the capital. I don't see President Obama as truly being engaged with this threat from North Korea but I do hope that he gets his mind wrapped around this situation rather quickly.

Muslim terrorists on our Southern border

While the rhetoric heats up over illegal immigrants crossing our Southern border, the real danger with our porous border is being overlooked. Congressional reports have indicated that we have detained hundreds of illegals from Egypt, Iran, Iraq and Pakistan along our 2000 mile border. As I reported in 2009, Iranian funded Hezbollah terrorists have taken refuge in the tri-border region of South America. It is only a matter of time before a terrorist cell uses our border to transport a WMD of some sort and strike an American city.

President Obama has canceled plans to extend the fence along the US-Mexican border and has cut millions of dollars for the "virtual fence." This administrations lack of will to stop illegals from coming across the border is not only is going to bankrupt our nation but very likely will result in an American city being lit up. Watch the below video as the terrorist recruiter describes how they can kill hundreds of thousands of Americans with just a small amount of anthrax smuggled across the border. All of the Democrats and some Republicans that refuse to seal our borders already have blood on their hands and they need to be held to account criminally once an American city is hit.

Stringent laws on illegal Immigration are needed now more than ever

The new Immigration law signed into law by Arizona Gov Jan Brewer is a reflection of the inaction by Washington in securing our borders. This new controversial law is simple in it's mandate and it's aim is to identify, prosecute and deport illegal immigrants. Of course the usual lies and fear mongering has already been unleashed by those on the left and will only get more shrill as the debate goes on. Those of us that live in border states know that something more needs to be done and we are tired of the lip service that comes out of Washington. Texas has requested drones from the Obama Administration to help with interdiction on our Southern border and have denied on every occasion.

The left in this country that are making the most noise are calling this new law "racist" and say this will invite wholesale racial profiling. This law will require law enforcement to have a "reasonable suspicion" of a person being an illegal alien before they can take action. Lets look at what happens in all border states at present. The U.S. Border Patrol has 34 permanent vehicle checkpoints on major highways from California to Texas. These stations are not on the border but rather farther inland and everyone (Anglo-Hispanic-Black-Asian) are required to stop and answer questions about status, travel itinerary and anything else the border patrolman thinks is necessary. I have had my car searched (with my permission) while leaving El Paso at the check point center and I have no problem with this procedure. This new law gives local and state law enforcement powers that the Border Patrol already enjoys and nothing more.

Mexico's reaction to Arizona's immigration law was immediate and issued a statement that read in part, "The Mexican Government recognizes the sovereign right of States to decide which public policies will apply in their territory. However, when a law like SB1070 has a potential impact upon the human rights of thousand of Mexican nationals, it cannot remain indifferent." I find it hypocritical of Mexico to accuse Arizona of violating the "human rights" of their citizens. If you have ever been to Mexico, you know that local and state Mexican police can and do ask for ID and or passports of Americans anytime they see fit. Mexico deported 203,128 illegal immigrants in 2004 and I'm sure their illegals are not treated as well as we treat ours. For Mexico to preach human rights to us is funny at best.

There are at least 13 million illegals residing in the United States with many sucking our social services dry of funds. Illegals are bankrupting our hospital systems in our border states, mooching our welfare system and committing crimes. There is an old saying, "if you always do what you have always done, you will have what you have right now." Unless Washington does more to secure our borders the problem will persist and states will be required to take matters into their own hands. President Barack Obama's 2009 budget blueprint canceled plans to extend the border fence along the U.S.-Mexico border beyond the 670 miles already completed or planned. This year Janet Napolitano cut millions of dollars intended for the “virtual fence” along the Mexican border and denied the request of assets for Texas. How do we expect the illegal problem to fixed when we have an Administration that is asleep at the wheel.

The race hustlers on the left will use this new law to create anger within their base to help stem the tide of the defeat that awaits them in November. If you watch the video of the protests in Arizona, you will see how the left turns to violence when they disagree with a policy. I have yet to see any Tea Party protests turn violent, unless you count the violence perpetrated by union thugs on Tea Partiers. I hope Texas and the other border states will enact new laws similar to that of Arizona. It is the job of the Federal Government to secure our borders and if they fail to do so, the states will forced to do it themselves.

Pre-empting the V.A.T tax

On Tuesday, Obama economic advisor Paul Volcker confirmed what many conservatives have assumed for months--Democrats are considering the implementation of a national sales tax in order to pay for the massive amounts of money that they have added to the debt since Obama took office. This national sales tax, known to economists as the “Value Added Tax” or V.A.T, would apply to every American and would be added to the amount we pay for almost every product we buy. The tax would be higher for some types of items than for others, but all in all it would hit middle and lower class Americans the hardest, diminishing their already limited buying power.

Now, let’s not dwell on the fact that putting such a tax in place would be a complete reversal of Barack Obama’s oft-repeated campaign promise that he would not raise taxes on anyone making over $200,000 a year. By now we should all know that this president’s promises are worth about as much as the promises that Tiger Woods makes to adult film stars.

Nor should we assume that those who continue to support this president are going to begin questioning why such a tax is warranted. In a sane world, you’d think this group would be among the first to question the V.A.T.’s necessity. After all, Obama's base seems to be the only group that believes that Obamacare is actually “deficit neutral” and that the $787 billion stimulus package is well on its way to bringing about a return to 5% unemployment and a sustained period of robust economic growth. Why would people who see such a bright and prosperous future think that a something as drastic as a V.A.T was needed? But analytical thinking was never the Obamabot's strong suit. Alas,convincing these dedicated Obama devotees to go against the president is hopeless. Obama’s core supporters are split into two groups. Those who truly believe that turning the U.S. into a European-style, social welfare state is a good thing and those who don’t pay any attention and are simply waiting for their share of Obama’s “stash” to show up in their mailbox. Both are a lost cause.

However, there remains a large group of independent voters who are still in the process of forming their initial opinion about President Obama. This group may not have been able to fully grasp the complexities of the health care reform debate, but they will sure as hell understand what a national sales tax will do to their pocketbooks. My guess is that they are not going to like it one bit.

This morning the possibility of a federal V.A.T was the primary focus of conservative radio talkers. Conservative hosts should keep the focus on this new tax for the next few months. Make sure the base knows everything about it--how it will be implemented, its negative effects on the economy and its regressive nature. Conservative talk radio and Fox News were instrumental in ensuring that the conservative base knew far more about the details and consequences of Obamacare than did our liberal opponents. This information trickled down the pipeline to moderates and independents and they quickly turned against the bill forcing Democrats to pass a wildly unpopular piece of legislation contrary to popular will. This act of hubris has threatened the Democrat’s congressional majorities and has hindered their ability to pass other items on their agenda. The same kind of education of the public should occur with the V.A.T and the conversation needs to begin right now.

Next, every Democrat who is running for office this year should be endlessly challenged by their opponents and the conservative media on the subject of the V.A.T and it should be demanded that they go on record either in support or opposition to the tax. Between now and November, an effort must be made to force every single one of them to take a position. If House Blue Dogs and senators in tough races admit that they will support the tax or refuse to say that they will oppose it, G.O.P. candidates will have a huge cudgel with which to bludgeon them throughout the summer. (Note: I am not advocating the literal bludgeoning of Democrats.) By making the V.A.T part of the national conversation before it is even proposed, we can also force President Obama to address the issue publicly. If he backs off, great. If he admits that he’s considering it, even better. Bigger gains for us in November.

Finally, it is important that conservatives cut off the Democratic talking points at the knees before they have an opportunity to infect the weak-minded, “Yes We Can” crowd. When it comes to selling the V.A.T, the Obama administration and its congressional allies will almost certainly embrace a talking point in which they allude to the fact that a national sales tax is an idea that has been embraced in the past by conservatives. Conservatives must make sure that people understand that our side’s support for such a tax is conditioned on the V.A.T replacing the progressive income tax. We are adamantly opposed to it being levied in addition to the income tax as the Left wants to do.

If Obama and the Democrats had wanted to be honest about their plans, they would have proposed the V.A.T prior to the budget busting triumvirate of stimulus, omnibus and Obamacare. Instead, they plan to propose it after the fact and disingenuously warn the American people that our debt is going to become unsustainable without the new revenue source. The conservative response should be “tough luck.” We were unanimous in our opposition to these big spending programs and would be more than happy to defund them and repeal them, but otherwise our plan is to starve the beast. If we kill the V.A.T and Democrats go ahead with their reckless spending, 100% of the blame for the repercussions should be aimed at the Democrats. Such are the risks of partisanship and broken promises. Time to pay the piper.

The truth is that the implementation of a European-style national sales tax would most likely lead to European-style economic stagnation and unemployment. But that increasingly seems to be the Democrat’s long-term plan. It’s time to call their bluff. We need to make this summer the summer of the V.A.T in order to ensure that, regardless of the results of November’s elections, a national sales tax does not become a permanent revenue source that will, in all likelihood, just be frittered away by Congress anyway, leaving the debt at the same staggering heights that it has reached during Obama’s first year in office.

Last week, at a town hall meeting, a woman named Joyce Ravis echoed the thoughts of millions of Americans and told the president straight up:“We are over-taxed as it is.”
Obama responded with a 17 minute, 2500 word, rambling filibuster in which he talked about health care, Wal-Mart, roof repair, George W. Bush (of course), foreign aid and something about a janitor who cleans office buildings. Only once did he even come close to addressing Joyce’s major concern and he essentially brushed that off by saying

“I don't think this will affect you, but I don't know -- you know, I don't know your family's circumstances.”

Wow.

If Obama was an honest politician, and most of us can now say with a great deal of certainty that he the antithesis of such a being, he could have trimmed his 2,500 word non-answer down to a 15 word straightforward response and said:

“If you think that your taxes are high now Joyce, you ain’t seen nothing yet.”

THE READY RESERVE CORPS-Is this Obama's new citizen army?

The Obama-Care bill that is about to become law of the land includes the establishment of the Ready Reserve Corps. What is that you ask, well I'm not sure. I do know we already have a Ready Reserve Force that that was created in 1976 as a subset of the Maritime Administration's National Defense Reserve (NDRF). This force supports rapid world wide deployment of the US military and was called upon to provide humanitarian relief after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and Rita in 2006.

The bill is rather vague about the mission of the new Ready Reserve Corps (CORPSE in Obama speak) and I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, I will let you be the judge. President Obama did call for some sort of Citizen National Security Force during the campaign and I don't know if this is the spawn of that or not. What I do know is this, the Ready Reserve Corps needs to be explained to the American public as well as their mission. I'm not going to throw out some sort of conspiracy theory and accuse Obama of creating his own little jack booted Interior force, but without some sort of explanation he runs that risk.

Here is the text in the bill that creates the Ready Reserve Corps-

SEC. 430. ESTABLISHING A READY RESERVE CORPS. Section 203 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 204) is amended to read as follows: SEC. 203. COMMISSIONED CORPS AND READY RESERVE CORPS. (a) ESTABLISHMENT.— (1) IN GENERAL.—There shall be in the Service a commissioned Regular Corps and a Ready Reserve Corps for service in time of national emergency. (2) REQUIREMENT.—All commissioned officers shall be citizens of the United States and shall be appointed without regard to the civil-service laws and compensated without regard to the Classification Act of 1923, as amended. (3) APPOINTMENT.—Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall be appointed by the President and commissioned officers of the Regular Corps shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate. (4) ACTIVE DUTY.—Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall at all times be subject to call to active duty by the Surgeon General, including active duty for the purpose of training. (5) WARRANT OFFICERS.—Warrant officers may be appointed to the Service for the purpose of providing support to the health and delivery systems maintained by the Service and any warrant officer appointed to the Service shall be considered for purposes of this Act and title 37, United States Code, to be a commissioned officer within the Commissioned Corps of the Service. (b) ASSIMILATING RESERVE CORP OFFICERS INTO THE REGULAR CORPS.—Effective on the date of enactment of the Affordable Health Choices Act, all individuals classified as officers in the Reserve Corps under this section (as such section existed on the day before the date of enactment of such Act) and serving on active duty shall be deemed to be commissioned officers of the Regular Corps. (c) PURPOSE AND USE OF READY RESERVE.— (1) PURPOSE.—The purpose of the Ready Reserve Corps is to fulfill the need to have additional Commissioned Corps personnel available on short notice (similar to the uniformed service’s reserve program) to assist regular Commissioned Corps personnel to meet both routine public health and emergency response missions. (2) USES.—The Ready Reserve Corps shall— (A) participate in routine training to meet the general and specific needs of the Commissioned Corps; (B) be available and ready for involuntary calls to active duty during national emergencies and public health crises, similar to the uniformed service reserve personnel; (C) be available for backfilling critical positions left vacant during deployment of active duty Commissioned Corps members, as well as for deployment to respond to public health emergencies, both foreign and domestic; and (D) be available for service assignment in isolated, hardship, and medically underserved communities (as defined in section 399SS) to improve access to health services. (d) FUNDING.—For the purpose of carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Commissioned Corps under this section, there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to the Office of the Surgeon General for each of fiscal years 2010 through 2014. Funds appropriated under this subsection shall be used for recruitment and training of Commissioned Corps Officers.

I wrote Congressman Neugebauer and asked if he knew anything about this clause or if he knew what the mission of this new force would be, but I haven't had a response as of yet. I would encourage you to contact your Representatives as well so we can get some answers that will help us understand the need of the Ready Reserve Corps.

Obama fails Israel

I and many other bloggers warned before the election of Barack Hussein Obama that he would not be a friend of Israel. Obama's first year in office saw him placing unreasonable demands on Israel and public lashings when they did not concur. I cannot remember an American Administration placing such demands on Israel, much less in the public forum, during such troubling times in the Middle East. A recent poll shows that only 6% of Israelis think Obama is pro-Israel and 50% say he is pro Palestinian. Israels own Ambassador is calling the recent dust up the worst in 35 years.

I will admit that the announcement of the building of new housing in Jerusalem during Vice President Biden's visit was ill timed, but to call out Israel and to cancel high level visits is just unprecedented. The Palestinians are on the verge of a third Intifada and the image of conflict in American-Israeli relations only encourages such action. Hamas has called for an Intifada against Israel and will use this ruse to unite Palestinian voters in Gaza and the West Bank to support Hamas versus Fatah in upcoming elections.

Israel is under a continued threat from the North with Iranian-Syrian backed Hezbollah, Iranian backed Hamas in Gaza and from Iran itself and their quest for nuclear arms to annihilate the Jewish state. President Obama may not agree with Prime Minister Netanyahu, but Obama needs to understand that the terrorist elements are taking this cue as a weakness in our relationship with Israel and will try to exploit it.

The election of President Obama and his inexperience in foreign policy just shows what can go wrong when you let emotion rather than substance guide your vote. Israel is our only true friend in the Middle East and to treat them as our enemy is just a huge mistake and one we will pay for in the near future. The animosity that this Administration shows towards Israel needs to be reined in and more support should be offered. Israel does our bidding in the turbulent Middle East and we need to show our support, whether it be militarily or financial , but encouragement nonetheless.

The news reports about Joe Stack crashing his plane into an Austin TX building are making him out as a conservative loon. They mention his diatribe that he posted on the net before his kamikaze attack but fail to mention his disdain for George W. Bush. They do mention his hate for taxes, the IRS and the Government in general. I wonder why they would do this? Do you think the MSM would like to make him fit a template of a Tea Party type? I think we all know the answer to that question.

I checked ABC, NBC, MSNBC and CNN and all of them quote from Mr. Stack's internet rant and not one of them mention his disdain for George W. Bush. It appears they are trying to make the narrative that Mr. Stack is just another far-right IRS hating loon. They are trying to paint the right in a bad light before the upcoming tsunami in Novemember.

Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar captured!

It is being reported that the Taliban's top commander, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, has been captured by a joint Pakistani-CIA operation in Karachi Pakistan. Apparently the New York Times has been sitting on this story for a couple of days as to not disrupt current operations. Mullah Baradar is one that may have actionable intel on the location of Bin Laden and with the right interrogation this could be big. I hope Obama does not try to insert himself and demand that this terrorist leader have counsel and implore the Pakistanis not to torture him.

Mullah is the second in command of the Taliban and he appoints and fires the Taliban's commanders and governors; presides over its top military council and central ruling Shura in Quetta, the city in southwestern Pakistan where most of the group's senior leaders are based. According to a terrorist subcommander from Helmand province, Mullah Shah Wali Akhund, Baradar also controls the Taliban's finances which is in the range of millions of dollars.

This is the second high value terrorist taken from of the field of battle in the last week and will have far reaching ramifications. I hope the Pakistanis use every method at their disposal to extract info from this robed pig. If Obama and Eric Holder will stay out of the way and let the adults get the info we need, we may just get Bin Laden in short order. I can't wait for the first liberal group to cry out about Baradar's civil rights and demand the Pakistanis appointment him an ACLU attorney.

Steve Brown is the first Republican since Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. to hold this Senate seat, which was lost to John F. Kennedy in 1952. In that vein, I think Senator elect Brown should give this speech to serve notice to both parties.

We observe today not a victory of party, but a celebration of freedom—symbolizing an end to Socialism, as well as a beginning—signifying renewal, as well as change. Our leaders have sworn before you and Almighty God the same solemn oath our forebears prescribed nearly a century and three quarters ago.

The country is very different now with Obama/Pelosi/Reid in charge. For these people hold in their mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of freedom and all forms of personal responsibility. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of Obama or Pelosi, but from the hand of God.

We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to Republicans and Democrats alike, that the torch of freedom has been passed to a new generation of Tea Party Americans—born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by government expansion and over spending, proud of our capitalist heritage—and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those same capitalist traits to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which made this the greatest country on God’s green Earth .

Are Americans safe under Obama?

Back in April Vice President Biden declared, "I guarantee you we are safer today, our interests are more secure today than they were any time during the eight years... We are more safe. We are more secure. Our interests are more secure, not just at home, but around the world." Mr. Biden may want to rethink his remarks due the most recent terrorist attack attempt on this country. The unsuccessful Christmas day bombing attempt on a Detroit bound flight is just another example of a near successful terrorist attack that has manifested within the last year.

November 5th. 2009, Muslim terrorist and Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan gunned down 30 fellow soldiers, killing 14, during his terrorist rampage at Fort Hood. September 22nd. 2009, alleged Al Qaeda cell leader Najibullah Zazi is arrested after trying to procure ingredients to make peroxide bombs to target baseball stadiums and other targets in NYC with eight other suspects still at large.

September 2009, Mosam Maher Husein Smadi was arrested in Dallas TX after attempting to use a WMD on the 60-story Fountain Place building. This man believed he left a car full of explosives at this building but because of FBI efforts, his car bomb failed to explode. Again in September of this year authorities arrested another would be bomber in his attempt to bomb the Springfield Federal Courthouse. As it turned out, however, the FBI foiled the terrorist attack after the perp tried to explode his van full of explosives with his cell phone.

The examples stated above are just some of the successful and near successful attacks that have occurred in our country the last few months. The Fort Hood massacre could have been avoided as there were red flags all over the place that exposed Nidal Hasan's radical leanings. The Obama White House has withheld information of the Fort Hood investigation from Congress which begs the question, what are they hiding.

The near successful terrorist attack by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab on the Detroit bound flight could have been avoided as well but major mistakes were made by airline security protocols. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano declared that "the system worked" but has since backtracked and conceded Monday that airline security failed in allowing Umar on a terror watch list and allegedly armed with explosives onto a Detroit-bound flight. Napolitano said officials are doing a complete review to determine what needs to change to prevent such a passenger from clearing security in the future.

Does anyone remember earlier this year when the Transportation Security Administration published an improperly redacted version of its operating manual on the internet. Here is a summary of what got leaked to the terrorists around the world:

The 93-page TSA operating manual details procedures for screening passengers and checked baggage, such as technical settings used by X-ray machines and explosives detectors. It also includes pictures of credentials used by members of Congress, CIA employees and federal air marshals, and it identifies 12 countries whose passport holders are automatically subjected to added scrutiny.

Giving the terrorists a blue print of our security measures does not give me much comfort when I'm flying across the country. As we await for Obama to comment on this latest situation I must ask, are we safer under the Obama Administration than we were under the Bush Administration? I know that Biden has stated that we are, but I'm not so sure. What do you think?

Cop murders will be Huckabee's Willie Horton

The recent execution of four police officers in a suburban Seattle coffee shop is tragic and should not have ever happened. The alleged murderer is Maurice Clemmons who has a long rap sheet that goes all the back to Arkansas. Clemmons, who was serving a long prison sentence, was commuted by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee nearly a decade ago. Governor Huckabee faced a fair amount of criticism during his Presidential run for appearing to be soft on crime. If the Huckster decides to run in 2012, this recent murder and his past pardons will continue to haunt him.

Huckabee appears to have used his power of clemency as a routine gesture while serving as Governor. Huckabee issued over 700 pardons and commutations during his eight years in office with at least two of these guys committing murder afterwards. Lets take a look at Huckabee's record versus other neighboring states during his time if office. Texas had 98 pardons and commutations, Louisiana-213, Mississippi-24, Missouri-79, Oklahoma-178 and Tennessee-32 with a combined total of 624. Huckabee pardoned and commuted 79 more convicts than all the other mentioned states.

I heard over the weekend that Huckabee is considering not to run 2012 and I think that is a good idea for him and the Republican Party. I didn't think Huckabee was strong candidate in 2008 and I don't think he will be in 2012. I know there are many conservatives who love the Governor but I think he is a weak candidate that will be even more weakened by this latest tragedy. Mike Huckabee raised more taxes in 10 years in office than Bill Clinton did in his 12 years and has pardoned more convicts than six other states combined. That is not a strong conservative record to run on and now other candidates can use the Democratic "Willie Horton" tactic successfully against him.

The murder of the four Seattle Police officers is tragic and our thoughts should be with their families that they left behind. This is just another sad lesson of the consequences of those in power that are soft on crime.

Hacked "Climate Change" emails expose leftist farce.

With the Copenhagen UN Climate Change Conference less than two months away, new information has been revealed that exposes the Man-Made Global Warming farce. Unidentified hackers have broken into the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit and revealed damaging emails between climate change scientists. The files were reportedly released on a Russian file-serve by an anonymous poster calling himself "FOIA according to Fox News. Phil Jones, head of the Hadley CRU, has confirmed that the hacking had taken place and has yet to contact the authorities.

The hacked files include 1079 emails between climate change advocates and 72 documents. The damaging emails reveal the destruction of evidence, conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, self professed flaws in their research and much more. Here are just some examples of the hacked emails:

"I'’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline."

"The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate."

"Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise. He’s not in at the moment – minor family crisis. Can you also email Gene and get him to do the same? I don’t have his new email address. We will be getting Caspar to do likewise."

"……Phil and I have recently submitted a paper using about a dozen NH records that fit this category, and many of which are available nearly 2K back–I think that trying to adopt a time frame of 2K, rather than the usual 1K, addresses a good earlier point that Peck made w/ regard to the memo, that it would be nice to try to “contain” the putative “MWP”, even if we don’t yet have a hemispheric mean reconstruction available that far back…".

This small example of emails illustrates a complete fraud being perpetrated all in the name of climate change and to mislead the world. New findings show that the Earth is in fact cooling and has been for several years now even though the world is producing even more of the evil CO2. This all comes at a time when a new poll indicates that more Americans are seeing through the hype. The poll by the Pew Research Center has documented a 20 point drop in the number of Americans who believe in anthropogenic (that is, man-made) climate change and this breaking news will only further that decline.

Al Gore and his henchmen will only increase their hype and falsehoods to try to inflict fear into people and to promulgate this so-called warming as fact. It has been reported that the Copenhagen Conference is fractured and nothing of substance will be passed. We must keep up the pressure on these frauds and those in power to reject any climate change/ CO2 legislation that may occur here or worldwide. In the end, it all about redistribution of wealth from the rich countries to poor countries that are lead by dictators and two-bit terrorists.

Republicans sweep to victory.

The White House and the state controlled media will spin these victories as local issues that have no bearing whatsoever on Obama's policies. I can assure you that this White House, Blue Dog Democrats and RINO 's understand this
message from voters. Obama and Congressional leaders have been tone deaf to the outrage of Americans and Corzine and Deeds are the first victims. At this time we don't know the results of New York's 23rd. district but the message has been sent to those trying to pound Socialism down our necks. The winds of Conservatism are beginning to blow and there are many more incumbents in our path.

We as Conservatives cannot rest on our laurels and claim victory with these small victories, but we must continue the pressure and grassroots activism. Let this message be heard to local, state and federal candidates nationwide that we are sick of the direction that this country is headed.
Republican labels will not protect you as an incumbent because we will hold you to a higher standard. Blue Dog Democrats that represent red states, beware, you should fear voters far more than you fear Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. The House and Senate leadership cannot assure you reelection, you must face the voters to answer for your votes.

This is just the start of the Reagan Revolution II that will sweep the nation. Get on board or get out of the way because we are coming for you!

WE THE PEOPLE and new gun restrictions

To those of you that don't mind restrictions on the ownership of firearms, take a look at the history of some countries that had bans on firearms. At any given moment there are gun control proposals sitting in a committee just waiting for the right combination of liberals and RINO's willing to pass them. At present, there is a proposed bill (H.R. 45) that has just been recommended to committee for consideration. I urge you to contact your representatives in Congress and tell them to kill this before it can come up for a vote.

With the threat of an ever powerful Federal Government, we cannot allow more gun restrictions on law abiding citizens. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed was not written into the Constitution by accident. It was placed there in case the Federal Government ever became too powerful and oppressive and we the people would have the means to change it. If after reading the information below and you think to yourself, that can't happen here, think again. Every new gun restriction law that is passed just adds to the slippery slope that we are now on.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. This doesn't include the 30 million "Uncle Joe" starved to death in the Ukraine.

* In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

* Germany established gun control in 1928. In 1938, the Nazis extended that control to ban the possession of military style weapons and to outlaw the sale of any weapons without government approval. (This sounds a lot like some of the current gun control efforts being pushed for in our country today.) From 1939 to 1945, the Gestapo & SS killed millions of people unable to defend themselves.

* China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up & exterminated.

* Guatamala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up & exterminated.

* Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up & exterminated. The total dead are said to be 2-3 million.

* Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, 1-2 million "educated" people unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

* Defenseless people rounded up & exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million at a bare minimum.

* During W.W. II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED.

* Gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results: Australia-wide, homicides went up 3.2 percent; Australia-wide, assaults went up 8.6 percent; Australia-wide, armed robberies went up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent). While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady DECREASE in armed robbery with firearms, that changed drastically upward in the first year after gun confiscation... since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed; There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults on the Elderly. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort & expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

Afghanistan could be Obama's Mogadishu.

As President Obama dithers with the decision as to whether to increase troop levels, recommended by General McChrystal, Afghanistan and Pakistan are spiraling out of control. After five meetings with his war council, Obama is still said to be weeks away from making a final decision in regards to his war strategy. President Obama is beginning to resemble President Clinton and his failed leadership during the Mogadishu
ambush that saw 18 dead and 77 wounded American soldiers. At that time, it was becoming clear that the situation on the ground was deteriorating and Gen. Thomas Montgomery was requesting reinforcements, air support and armored vehicles which was denied by then Sec. of Defense Les Aspin. The resulting carnage saw the images of dead American soldiers being dragged through Somali streets.

President Obama needs to do more than make a decision of sending forty thousand additional troops, he must change the rules of engagement that are preventing our soldiers from obtaining victory on the ground. Some of these new rules require our troops to break away from fights with militants hiding among villagers and obtain permission of homeowners to search for terrorists that may be hiding in their homes. Reading the Miranda Warning to terrorists on the battlefield will not make a us a safer country and does not help our troops.

Taliban attacks in Pakistan are increasing at an alarming rate and are coinciding with the threatened Pakistan offensive on the Waziristan region. This Pakistani offensive must take place to disrupt Taliban and Al Qaeda forces from cross border raids into Afghanistan against NATO troops. In a perfect world, this offensive would coincide with the additional American forces pushing towards the Pakistani border to eliminate the retreating Jihadists from the Waziristan region. This multi assault would do more to ensure victory for American and Pakistan forces than anything else. Would it end the war that is currently raging on both sides of the border. No it would not, but it would severely damage the offensive capabilities of the enemy and most likely kill or capture the brain trust of the terrorists.

As we wait for President Obama’s grandiose new war plan, NATO troops are losing their lives at an increasing rate and the Taliban are in control of even more territory within Afghanistan. Unless Mr. Obama decides to let the Generals run the war and do what is necessary to win, he will increasingly begin to look like President Clinton and his failure in Somalia. That defeat and others overseen by the Clinton Administration is what emboldened Osama Bin Laden to launch his global jihad against a perceived weakened United States. I don’t have much faith in Obama and his civilian war council, but I pray that they do the right thing and try to win this war. If he is unwilling or unable to allow our military to win this battle and give them the tools to accomplish their mission, I surmise that we should leave the field of battle. Another defeat for America and more terrorist attacks on a perceived weakened nation will surely come if Obama fails to lead.

I hope you realize that by supporting the Baucus Health Care bill, you have confirmed your exit from the Federal Government when you come up for re-election. I am not truly surprised with your intention to vote for this fecal matter called reform, but I had hope that this time you might see the light.

With your support of this bill, you have ignored the will of the American people and displayed your disdain for the people. Elitists such as yourself forget who you work for and think that somehow we are beholden to you. That is not how it works Senator and it just shows your ignorance for the Constitution of the United States.
