Liberal amnesty bill working its way through Congress

This is a breakdown of the new amnesty bill that is working it's way through our socialist Congress. The newly installed socialist trifecta (Obama-Pelosi-Reid) are pushing through the biggest leftist agenda the United States has ever seen. The Republicans must take control of either the House/Senate or both in the midterm elections or we as a nation are on an irreversible course.

Limbaugh's offer to Obama-A true bipartisan stimulus bill

This is a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed piece written by Rush Limbaugh that is truly genius. This would be a true "bipartisan" approach to the stimulus bill. I doubt President Obama will accept Limbaugh's bipartisan compromise but it is worth a try.
___________________________________

There's a serious debate in this country as to how best to end the recession. The average recession will last five to 11 months; the average recovery will last six years. Recessions will end on their own if they're left alone. What can make the recession worse is the wrong kind of government intervention.

I believe the wrong kind is precisely what President Barack Obama has proposed. I don't believe his is a "stimulus plan" at all -- I don't think it stimulates anything but the Democratic Party. This "porkulus" bill is designed to repair the Democratic Party's power losses from the 1990s forward, and to cement the party's majority power for decades.

Keynesian economists believe government spending on "shovel-ready" infrastructure projects -- schools, roads, bridges -- is the best way to stimulate our staggering economy. Supply-side economists make an equally persuasive case that tax cuts are the surest and quickest way to create permanent jobs and cause an economy to rebound. That happened under JFK, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. We know that when tax rates are cut in a recession, it brings an economy back.
Recent polling indicates that the American people are in favor of both approaches.

Notwithstanding the media blitz in support of the Obama stimulus plan, most Americans, according to a new Rasmussen poll, are skeptical. Rasmussen finds that 59% fear that Congress and the president will increase government spending too much. Only 17% worry they will cut taxes too much. Since the American people are not certain that the Obama stimulus plan is the way to go, it seems to me there's an opportunity for genuine compromise. At the same time, we can garner evidence on how to deal with future recessions, so every occurrence will no longer become a matter of partisan debate.

Congress is currently haggling over how to spend $900 billion generated by American taxpayers in the private sector. (It's important to remember that it's the people's money, not Washington's.) In a Jan. 23 meeting between President Obama and Republican leaders, Rep. Eric Cantor (R., Va.) proposed a moderate tax cut plan. President Obama responded, "I won. I'm going to trump you on that." Yes, elections have consequences. But where's the bipartisanship, Mr. Obama? This does not have to be a divisive issue. My proposal is a genuine compromise.

Fifty-three percent of American voters voted for Barack Obama; 46% voted for John McCain, and 1% voted for wackos. Give that 1% to President Obama. Let's say the vote was 54% to 46%. As a way to bring the country together and at the same time determine the most effective way to deal with recessions, under the Obama-Limbaugh Stimulus Plan of 2009: 54% of the $900 billion -- $486 billion -- will be spent on infrastructure and pork as defined by Mr. Obama and the Democrats; 46% -- $414 billion -- will be directed toward tax cuts, as determined by me.

Then we compare. We see which stimulus actually works. This is bipartisanship! It would satisfy the American people's wishes, as polls currently note; and it would also serve as a measurable test as to which approach best stimulates job growth. I say, cut the U.S. corporate tax rate -- at 35%, among the highest of all industrialized nations -- in half. Suspend the capital gains tax for a year to incentivize new investment, after which it would be reimposed at 10%. Then get out of the way!

Once Wall Street starts ticking up 500 points a day, the rest of the private sector will follow. There's no reason to tell the American people their future is bleak. There's no reason, as the administration is doing, to depress their hopes. There's no reason to insist that recovery can't happen quickly, because it can.

In this new era of responsibility, let's use both Keynesians and supply-siders to responsibly determine which theory best stimulates our economy -- and if elements of both work, so much the better. The American people are made up of Republicans, Democrats, independents and moderates, but our economy doesn't know the difference. This is about jobs now.

The economic crisis is an opportunity to unify people, if we set aside the politics. The leader of the Democrats and the leader of the Republicans (me, according to Mr. Obama) can get it done. This will have the overwhelming support of the American people. Let's stop the acrimony. Let's start solving our problems, together. Why wait one more day?

One day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

– Norman Thomas, American socialist

With tonight's passage of the $819 billion pork barrel bill, America is well on its way to the socialist nation Norman Thomas spoke of so many years ago. If the Senate and Congress reconcile on this bill this will result in the largest transfer of wealth the world has ever seen. Every Republican member of Congress that voted for this bill and any Republican Senator that will vote for this bill needs to be targeted and ousted when they come up for re-election. Obama has demonstrated in his first eight days that he plans to live up to his "most liberal Senator" tag that he earned while in the U.S. Senate.

UPDATE: No Republicans voted for this bill and eleven Democrats voted against it as well. Here is a list of the Democrats that should be lauded: Here's a list of the House Democrats who voted against the economic stimulus. The bill passed on a 244-188 vote.
Allen Boyd (FL), Bobby Bright (Ala.) Jim Cooper (Tenn), Brad Ellsworth (Ind.) Parker Griffith (Ala.) Paul Kanjorski (Pa) Frank Kratovil (Md) Walt Minnick (Idaho) Collin Peterson (Minn.)

The American Pork and Liberal Payoff Act of 2009

Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it’s an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before.Rahm Emanuel, Obama's Chief of Staff

The House has began debates today on the pork barrel "stimulus" package, minus the Nancy Pelosi $200 million family planning boondoggle. This bill is laden with liberal pork that will do nothing to stimulate jobs but only payoff the liberal base for future support. If you read the above quote from Rahm Emanuel, you can judge for yourself what the Democrats are trying to do. They are using the fear of the recession to put this bill on the fast track and grow the Federal government and reward the likes of ACORN. As follows are just some examples of where your tax monies will be going:

$1 billion for Amtrak (Amtrak hasn't turned a profit in 40 years)
$2 billion for child care subsidies.
$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts.
$400 million for global-warming research.
$2.4 million for carbon-capture demonstration projects.
$650 million on top of the billions already paid out for digital TV conversion coupons.
$40 million for ACORN
(Obama's foot soldiers during the election)
$20 million for sod for the National Mall
$600 million for the Federal government to buy new cars.

According to the Wall Street Journal, "some $30 billion, or less than 5% of the spending bill, is for fixing bridges or other highway projects" and I thought this bill was supposed to create jobs. Another $252 billion is for income-transfer payments which are not investments at all, but cash or benefits for people that do not contribute at all. Is the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act a stimulus package or pork? Contact your member of Congress and demand that they do not vote for this bill and if they do vote for this bill, make sure you help them retire at the next election.

Nancy Pelosi: Birth Control Will Stimulate the Economy

Nancy Pelosi is a Glittering Jewel Of Colossal Ignorance and she is third in line to the President of the United States. You better pray to God that nothing happens to Pres. Obama or VP Biden. This lady should be a City Council member in a town with a population of no more than 3000 and I am being very generous with that statement. Obama constructs his energy policy around tire pressure and Nancy Pelosi constructs her "stimulus" package on (abortion) birth control. Americans voted for these idiots and we get what we deserve.

George W. Bush, A Tribute

Welcome home Mr. President!

Live well and hold your head high Mr. President

These last eight years have been a bumpy ride to say the least. You came into office with an inherited recession and just a mere nine months later the country was hit by 19 Muslim terrorists. The financial cost to the country of that September morning totaled almost one trillion dollars. With the financial and emotional effects of an ongoing recession and the terrorist attacks, you kept your promise to cut the nations taxes. The Democrats screamed that we could not afford tax cuts when in reality the nation could ill afford ‘not’ to have tax cuts. The American economy responded with more money coming into the treasury not seen since the Reagan era.
-
You first took the fight to the enemy in Afghanistan with an outstanding victory in toppling the Taliban regime. You then targeted Iraq because of their financial support for terrorists, offering rewards for captured American and British airmen and their past enjoyment of using chemical agents on their own people. Much has been said of the fact that we did not find as many chemical and biological weapons as the international intelligence community once thought they may have possessed. Little is said about the tons of yellow cake uranium and the artillery shells loaded with mustard and sarin gas that have been found in Iraq. Little has been reported about how the Saddam Hussein regime planned to reconstitute their chemical, biological and nuclear industries once the UN restrictions were lifted. Have mistakes been made in our wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? Sure, but show me a war that has been waged where mistakes have not been made. Mr. President, you have liberated more than fifty million people and kept Americans’ safe here at home and for that I thank you.
-
You promised to appoint conservative Supreme Court nominees and boy did you deliver. With the additions of Roberts and Alito, you have righted the ship of the Supreme Court that was adrift toward the left. You promised to invest in missile defense to protect our country from rouge nations that might be willing to lob an ICBM or two our way. Thanks to you Mr. President, we will now have interceptor missiles in Europe to protect our cities. You did not back down from that Nu-Soviet Putin and his threats or the American liberals that were against our protection. When it came to the protection of our country, you have stood firm and withstood so much unfair criticism. The liberals have accused you of war crimes and treated you as the enemy instead of focusing on the true enemy. It can be said that you fought two wars during your term in office-The war against Muslim extremism and the war against liberal extremism. The liberals most definitely cost America time, money and American lives with their opposition to the war on terror.
-
The end of your term was tarnished by the financial collapse that was created by liberals as far back as the Carter administration. You and other fellow Republicans brought attention to the inadequate practices of Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac early in your term. Had the Democrats rejected the idea of pressuring banks and loaning institutions from lending money to people who could not pay it back could have prevented this morass. The idea of leveling the economic playing field by lending money to people with no money, no job or good credit history just boggles the mind. While I may have had some policy disagreements with your administration, I would still like to thank you for your tremendous service to the cause of freedom and the protection of our country. Live well and hold your head high because I do think history will be kind to you. Welcome back to the Great State of Texas Mr. President.

The clock is ticking on Communist leaders

Some sources are claiming that Fidel Castro is dead or on his way. I know that we have heard this before but Spanish sources that are supposedly in the know say this time it is for real. El Pias newspaper in Spain noted that Wednesday there were apparent movements at the Armed Forces and Interior Ministry and further stated the Castro suffered a "possible" heart attack. Even though Fidel has been rarely seen since his operation, he has kept in touch with the Cuban masses with his daily propaganda articles that he wrote while bedridden. Another clue as to what may be occurring in the island paradise, Argentine mad man Chavez stated last week that Castro "will remain in our memories." That is a telling clue in of itself.

I do think when Fidel finally assumes room temperature, Raul Castro will open up a little bit more in regards to some minor freedoms and agriculture reforms. The time may be ripe for a thaw to occur between the US and Cuba with the new incoming administration. President Obama will most likely attempt to engage Cuba and President Raul Castro will welcome such a "change." The Cubans are in great need of outside help after last years hurricane season destroyed much of the island. This approach will be less risky for Obama and the Democrats as they are less beholden to Florida's Cuban exiles as the Republicans would be.

It has also been reported that Korean dictator Kim Jong Il has finally named a successor in the event he joins his father, Stalin, Pol Pot and other former Communists in the pits of hell. The Straits Times is reporting that Kim has nominated his third son, Kim Jong Un, as successor and informed the Communist Party leadership of his choice. South Korea's Yonhap news agency reports that "the nomination of Mr. Kim Jong Un was totally unexpected." In my post "North Korean leader Kim Jong Il could be history" in September, I predicted that Kim and or the Communist Politburo would place Kim the younger as the new leader. If you understand that the two older sons have been "tainted" by Western nations, it no surprise at all that Kim chose his youngest son.

What defines "victory" for Israel

With the international outcry of the pacifists of the world, Israel is once again being forced into a corner that will spell its defeat. The current "cease fire" accord being passed around is the work of the French and Egyptians and demands for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and the terrorists. The UN resolution that stopped the Second Lebanese War allowed Hizbullah to rearm under the auspice of the UN. These worthless resolutions do not and will not promote peace. Any meaningful peace accord must have two partners that are willing to dance. Radical Muslim terrorists only dance around the truth and are unwilling partners for peace.

If there is any doubt in the willingness of Hamas to abide by any peace accord, let us take a look at their charter. Article 13. "There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. The initiatives, proposals and International Conferences are but a waste of time, an exercise in futility." The Hamas charter also calls for the destruction of Israel and they have refused to alter it to this day. Hamas and other radical Islamists will never abide by any peace accord with Zionists and or Christians. They raise their future little terrorists to hate everything that is non-Muslim and proudly send them to martyrdom and the 72 ugly virgins.

Anything less than a full defeat of Hamas by Israel will be a defeat for PM Olmert. If history is any guide, Israel will agree to some worthless resolution that will allow Hamas to rearm and fight another day. Israel holds all the cards in this morass and should play them accordingly. Any truce should demand the following:
International troops would be deployed in and around Gaza.
The immediate return of Cpl. Gilad Shalit.
Any missile and/or other terrorist activity will be dealt with a massive military response by Israel.

Hamas has rejected any form of International troops to monitor Gaza and rejected the PA from monitoring the crossings. Why do you think Hamas would be against international monitors? Hamas are masters of faking deaths of children and innocents and that would be harder to do with international monitors. It is easy to fake and promote collateral damage when you have the UN staff and AP reporters who gladly promote Hamas propaganda. The ideal situation would be to give Gaza back to Egypt and the West Bank to the Jordanians. The Palestinians have proven that they are unable to provide for themselves and produce jobs for their people.

Israel has done everything to avoid collateral damage and Hamas has done everything to inflict collateral damage. America and Western nations should support Israel in their fight to protect themselves from terrorists. Some Arab countries are turning against this fecal matter called Hamas and that is a positive result coming from the Middle East. I urge Prime Minister Olmert to ignore the pacifists of the world and inflict a massive blow to Hamas. Anything less than victory or an iron clad accord will be seen as a failure. Mr. Olmert, you already have one defeat on your resume, let us not have another.
